Matilda “Mattie”
Matilda or Mattie as she preferred to be called grew up as a normal girl with a normal family. Her parents and her older and younger brother lived in a small suburban country of Moderato. Even as a young child Mattie showed her strength, independence and blatant disregard for authority that her conservative parents did not know what to do with her. Mattie folks put her through many relaxant activities to try and soothe her wild nature with no success.
It wasn’t until her teacher mentioned that maybe trying martial arts to teach her discipline and balance. He gave them a number for a trainer one county over Sensei Razius master of tiger and dragon kung fu.
They loved the idea and after speaking with Razius and placing a down payment, Mattie with no choice of her own was forced to pack up and move to her aunts in Allegretto where she was to live, attend school and begin her lessons.
Mattie at first spiteful and bitter she resented her parents, and though she had not met him, Razius too. So when the time came for them to meet she was nothing short of rude and abrupt. Yelling and screaming at the old tiger, cursing him for her abandonment until she became tired and exhausted. Her body and her mind weak from her grudges broke down in a flood of tears Razius, after hours of listening to the young girl’s abuse merely squatted down and took the young joey in his arms.
From that point on she was his top student. Mattie became calmer her soul soothed and her love returned. It wasn’t until high school and a meeting with a bullied student Vincent did it all change again.
Saving Vincent from the local school bullies was easy for her but her heart went out to the poor boy who seemed to be just as lost as she once was Mattie planned a meeting between Razius and Vincent which went exceptionally well and in no time all. Razius focused shifted to him and allowed her to truant his lessons to hang with her friends training wasn’t the only thing she had skipped in her high school years, missing school caused her grades to drop and reaching her final year scared her with the process of not having a future that she decided to quit her truanting ways and martial arts all together.
Mattie passed high school and was welcomed back home with her family where she began the summer job as a waitress in a bar while she began business studies at a community college
Mattie finished college and is now the proud owner of “an ugly bar with a big personality” as she always quotes.
