I always admired strange life forms that are talked about in books. What would happen if life developed with six appendages instead of 4. This fellow is the result of giving
I gave them a set of colours, (based off an egg of stone I found at a rock and gem show), a starting animal (a weird creature known as the colugo http://www.ecologyasia.com/verts/mammals/colugo.htm ), and the idea for six limbs. I did admit I admired the tree cats from David Weber's works of fiction, so I think the lion face came from there.
Now that I look at it, those wings might be a bit hard to maneuver, no doubt they are weirdly jointed and only set like this when they are going to leap from tree to tree.
Since they do go from tree to tree, I decided to mutilate some greek and call them the Den-pi, taking from tree and leap.
