In between dealing with real life and trying to complete a short story (that's gone past the 10K mark), I found a few more embarrassing pictures I drew from the early days.

Dayunisi is a supporting character from an OOOLLLLLDDDD (how does one pronounce that many D's?) project. He was a member of one of the last remaining native groups on my little planet. In fact, the last beaver at all for his extinct tribe. (Can it truly be extinct if there's still one surviving member?)

Reserved, shy, and a bit morose, he doesn't make friends easy. He doesn't like confrontation, either.

I'd originally drawn him in the Angry Beavers style. Then, somewhere down the line, I realized that this was copyright infringement, and if I wanted to do anything commercially with my project, I'd have to change the style. Dayu is still sporting the AB style, but his "fin ears" are hidden in this piece.

Also, he's trapped by vines. I forget how he got into this situation, or why he's looking dead straight into the viewer's eyes.
