Their names are indeed based off of not-well-known Lion King characters. (Well, except Whitney)

These are my Subetan characters, a Dusk Ruffie named Kopa, a Gold Ruffie named Whitney, and a Cream Ruffie named Mheetu. Kopa and Whitney are brothers, and Mheetu is their cousin.
