If this were how actual school plays were, I wouldn't have to leave five minutes in just to "warm up the car." xD  Cardboard box turkey costume for the win.  Second place trophy to loincloth-wearing native raccoon boy. :9

I'm always curious about why any play needs someone to play a tree? Unless we're talking Evil Dead. In which case, I'd be the first volunteer! x3

Because we needed a fourth, obviously.

Because in school productions you have to give all the snotty little kids something to do and tree is a role you can't mess up lol

Nonsense!  The kid can always pretend he's a haunted tree, can't he?

When I was in Elementary School lo those many years ago, we did a school play that had a chorus of talking trees.

We all know how this ends..... The tree realizing that it is sentient uproots it's self and crushes the Indian, then goes on a rampage slowly killing off all of their tribes until pilgrims are finally able to kill the tree and give all the Indians sweet Casinos with which to rebuild their now tiny amounts of land left uncorrupted by the tree of doom.

.... I may have had a bad play when I was younger.

The kid who has to be the tree looks nonplussed. He has no lines.

maybe this thanksgiving the trees make like the woods in MacBeth and they're out for blood

Either that's a heavy corn prop or the poor coon's gonna be falling backward soon x3

I'm a little confused by your comment! If you mean that they need two people to hold it up, this is supposed to depict one character giving it to the other. The prop is larger than life because a) it's a school play and b) it has to be clearly visible from far away and still read as corn. That's a bit of stage magic for you - objects, props and backdrops in stageplays and musical are often quite a bit larger than their real life counterparts for this reason.

No, I was mainly referring to his center of gravity, looking at where his feet are standing compared to the rest of him, looks so off balance x3
Aogami

If you draw a line up from between his feet through the center of his head it's leaning back slightly, but his arms are both held out forward and the tail is quite light in comparison - mostly fluff - so it shouldn't overbalance him. I'm sorry it ruined the picture for you though.
