I've been on a bit of a Harry Potter Binge lately so I got around and sketched up a new fancharacter. ^^

Arthur Hawke liked sitting out on his own at times. He liked the quite of the night air and the beauty of the night sky. Gryffindor House tended to be a bit noisey and while there were certainly times Arthur would join in there were others when he just preferred to be off on his own. With a flick of his wrist he looked down at the small blue flame floating just above his hand. Magic came easily to him even without a want thanks to his grandfather's legacy. Arthur himself was a quarter Goblin and those genes while diluted in him still lingered. His ears, his nails, and his magic were all testimant to that legacy. A legacy some didn't much care for. Being Muggle born is one thing but him. Well there were still some that didn't consider Goblins people and they didn't look kindly on the mixed breed offspring. People like that were the reason he had other problems. Voldimort may have died but his ideals didn't for many. One night a group of his former followers descended on the Hawke home intending to purge the impure. They succeeded in killing Arthur's older brother Alex and managed to snap his back. They were driven off though by his father and mother and Arthur received medical attention. The break was bad having completely severed his spine but a potion a spell had Arthur up and waking again though it apparently didn't completely heal. Try as he might Arthur was never able to get out of diapers. Something that some of his peered still tease him about. And of course the images in his mind from that night aren't something Magic can really heal.

"There you are Art. Do you have to sit out here? I mean I keep thinking your gonna fall off." Said a brown haired boy with a light laugh as he leaned against the window sill.

"Hey James. Well it's kinda hard to think inside sometimes. It's the ears. They pick up everything." Arthur smiled as he looked back at his friend.

"Just one more cool thing about ya. Well things are quieter now. So come back in already before you fall or something." James said leaning out a bit to look down and then pulling back in.

"Oh alright. I think your just afraid of heights because your not such a great flyer." Arthur laughed as he turned around and climbed back in through the window. "But your probably right. I should get ready for bed anyway."

"Yeah last time you fell asleep without getting ready you sprung a leak. Thankfully I make up for my lack of flight skills with an aptitude for house hold cleaning spells." James smirked as Arthur blushed a bit. They knew just how to make each other blush a bit and how to get a smile out of the other. Just what good friends do.
