Shout out to all my fellow hard dance music lovers ^^
WIP
every once in a while i try to draw dance of some sort, just to see how well i can do it. ddrawing dance is rediculously hard. its really difficult to draw that full body movement that looks flowy and realistic, and like a dance, rather than just someone flailing around like they have no sense of balance
Not quite bell bottoms cause they dont ussualy flare out at the bottom, they are ussualy more commonly reffered to as "tripp pants" As youve seen they are baggy as hell and ussualy contain alot of other dangly materials like chains, straps and even glowsticks.
They are a form of cargo pants that are also a fashion accessory attached to the community of ravers. i belive there is a history behind it, possibly due to wanting to carry your belongings around with you at a large crowded rave party, but without the extra bulk of a backpack or a purse. Or somthing else to do with smuggling drugs into a club *Shrug* Its been part of the rave community for many years, thats all i know

Picturing a harder and slower beat for this than the music in the link for The Melbourne Shuffle. Possibly because of the positioning of their limbs? Anyway, nice dynamic!

yeah, you're probly right mostly :) the melbourn shuffle is the dance that inspired me, but i wanted to draw somthing SLIGHTLY more dynamic but retaining similiar propperties, in any case i just wanted it to be based around "Hard dance" which can also include jumpstyle, which is what this kinda ended up looking like, which is a different dance based on the same music
I have to say that with the intense music, I much prefer the "Jump" or "Stomp" styles of dance. Not that I don't find the sliding and flowing motions of The Shuffle really cool, I just have a hard time rectifying the thumping and staccato rhythms of the music to the fluidity of the dance

Understandable :) everyone has their preferences. The way I see it kinda.. ya know when you place an object on an intensely vibrating flat surface, it will move around? I kinda picture the shuffle dance like that. Like the intense vibration of the bass kicks makes you slide around while you dance, giving the illusion that it's just that much more hard core. (Considering bass loud enough to make large objects scoot around would likely break windows)

I watched the vid link you posted to Esanhusky, and as a league of legends fan (fan of viktor) I kust say there is something more appealing to the shuffle, not to mwntion as an Irish person, the jump looks more like a merry jig, :/ maybe it's just me?
Either way, nice dynamic :D

not only is it easier to control and looks badass to glide around the floor, but you can maintain it alot longer cause jumping wears you the fuck out X.x
i preffer the shuffle over jump as well :) not only is it easier to control and looks badass to gli
i can do a tiny bit of both.. only very simple moves, and jumping is tedious. I want to teach myself to shuffle as well as the people in the videos but ive been lazy about it >.> i have alot of other things im keeping myself occupied with like art and of course work. Ive also just recently (as in today) decided i want to get back into producing music again as well.

well its getting better and better each time i come back to reply XD and you need a decent pair of skate shoes to do the slide proper but have fun with life bro, youre too young to not enjoy life

Actualy if you do the technique right you could practicaly do it in any footwear cause you arent actualy sliding. Its a heel to toe movement whilst transfering that movement from foot to foot amonst other parts of the dance. :P though for beginers its better to have shoes that dont catch the ground :)
And yeah i had to stay up for my landlord to do somthing in my apartment.... so i got more work done on it than i had planned. i think the next update will be the final one likely, i just have to do the foreground and background effects.

ha ha, it's cool. It's from an anime called Evangelion, where they pilot mechs, and at one point two pilots have to take down two enemies at the same time, so they have to "learn to synch with each other". They do so by a sudden montage of dancing, because robots.
