Long before Daisy Cutter and her crew left their pocket dimension, there was another pony who left her world and into the universe at large. Her name was Darkhoof the Necromancer.
Banished from her dimension for performing unspeakable magical experements on her own kind, she found herself falling in with the Ordo Oculum, forming a close bond with Oculus the Scryer until Tsoth the Golemancer came along and drew his attentions from her.
In a jealous rage, she plotted with Arden the Alchemist to betray Oculus, but the plot was discovered and Arden threw her under the bus to save his own pathetic skin.
She now resides on an unnamed moon on a long forgotten planet, honing her necromantic skills until she is powerful enough to destroy Oculus.
