House hippos and Helpful Mice

One time when I was out camping with the family, there was a large group of flying squirrels that lived in the provincial park. They were everywhere, always chittering at us as we walked the dog around. That night, there was all sorts of clattering on the roof (we had parked under some trees, so no doubt it was acorns or something), but I decided to make up stories about the squirrels having a society and they knew I was on to them, so they were trying to bombard the roof.

I kept this up for a long time, including the squirrels and chipmunks that dashed across the road as suicide bombers, trying to take me out.

So i decided to have Saucy do me up a wonderful Chibish sketch of this concept. Here a squirrel and a chipmunk are inventorying the autumn harvest. :)
