Yup the Liger's at it again. Figured my new lil region of space in Trek could use some more inhabitants so here's one of em. ^^ Anyways as always I'll start with a Codex entry on the species and then get specific with these characters.

The Ilyans are a humanoid native to the world Ilyala. The Ilyans are one of only a handful of humanoid species in the region. Ilyans are biologically distinct in their bone structure incorporating naturally occurring carbon fiber as well as possessing telepathic potential. They are one of the first Warp capable species in the region and established the Ilyan Empire which at one point in time encompassed 12 densely populated Ilyan colony worlds as well as an additional 10 worlds occupied by Client species of the Ilyan Empire. Their Empire was influential throughout the region for centuries before the Grand WarLord Armock lead nearly six dozen Selken Clans against the Ilyan Empire and instigated a War that lasted for 251 years. The Goal seeming to have been the extermination of the Ilyan people. Today the Ilyans hold no worlds with most of their population living within the Imperial Fleet. Population statistics suggest they number approximately 751,000. Their current condition as an Empire in Exile does not sit well with the Ilyans whom dedicate their lives to strengthening their people and fleet in hopes of one day retaking their homeworld. Societally they have a strong sense of honor though it is more flexible than would be expected of a strictly Warrior species. Most Ilyans work in some way for the Ilyan Military in that their jobs serve to support it in some capacity. Not Every Ilyan is suited to be a soldier but each contributes in their own way. Wither that be providing technical skill, building relations with other species, keeping trade flowing, or just making sure everyone's stomachs are filled. They are given a great deal of personal freedom but are expected to show proper restraint in areas. Anyone showing up for their duty shift obviously intoxicated for example will see harsh sanctions. Beyond that keeping their population stable is a prime concern. To this end it is encouraged that couples have at least two children. This extends to same gender couples who can still contribute to the population with modern medical technologies.

San Jetven walked into his quarters after his shift on the bridge. He stretched as he did thinking back over it. Relatively uneventful. He'd run a few checks on their weapons systems and spent an hour or so adjusting targeting to increase their accuracy. He spent the rest of the time running some simulations refining some of their tactics. It was an average day. San had planned to relax a little after his shift and listen to some music. Maybe set up some sparring with a friend tomorrow. As he walked into the bedroom he noticed his younger brother Jon there and sighed seeing him standing there diaper showing. John had been in diapers all his life thanks to contracting a rare illness when he was young. It attacked his nervous system and had left some permanent damage. Still San couldn't help but smile a bit. Jon did look cute like that and the boy had learned to live with it. Even enjoy it now and then.

"Already getting comfortable huh lil bro?" San asked as he waked on over.

"Yeah. Just got changed. Class was dull as usual." Jon complained a bit as both he and his brother sat down on the bed and began getting their boots and shoes off.

"Well least it's the last one for the week." San pointed out setting his boots aside and started to undo his vest.

"Yeah. Though I'd still rather be learning more about ships and taking more pilot courses." Jon nodded as he got his bet off and pulled the over shirt off.

"I know I've seen you pilot before. Say how about we take a day trip? There's a nice tropical planet in the system. You could pilot the shuttle if you want." San offered as he got his pants off and slipped into a pair of shorts.

"Really? You mean it?" Jon asked tilting his head wanting to be sure.

"Yes I mean it. We can spend a lil time on a nice tropical beach and just enjoy it a bit. I'll invent Jesx and get some sparring in and well you can invite the human kid you've been making friends with." San told him as he slipped on a more comfortable t-shirt.

"Yes!! Thanks bro I'm gonna go ask him right now if he wants to come. I mean his Mom's busy with all that diplomat stuff anyway." Jon cheered and started towards the door.

"Hey Jon! Forgetting something?" San asked getting his brother to stop and blush a bit as San pointed to the diaper.

"Oh....that. Um. Maybe I'll just comm him instead" Jon blushed and turned heading into their small living room.

Well hope you guys liked the pic and the lil story.

That they do. It was just a design that came to me. Bit like the Klingons. But hey at least they aren't the Tac Tac. Species from Voyager who's nose connects with their chin.
