Started doing a test since Thursday. I was remembering a scene from the Disney movie Hercules (1997) where a star plummets out of the sky to the ceiling threshold to the Temple of Zeus and out comes Pegasus. I decided to make an animation action that's similar to that from the scene. I saw the movie a long time ago. two years ago I believe. I started doing this for Rainbow Dash since Thursday.
In this progress, I first started out straight ahead with the thumbnails I have down on a 9×12 sheet; then I continued on to do some straight ahead animation onto regular computer printing paper sheets, every sheet hole-punched... starting with the line of action; next the torso, barrel thorax, triangle shoulder blades, and butterfly pelvis before moving onto the angular limbs... it was pretty hard to maintain her mass while I did the first drawings and the others (before the stop to land) to be shown on ones (0.05; 20fps). Arranged all of them into two's and still the drawings are still right on. Going back to the drawing with increading mass, went pose to pose to prune some. the first scans were lighter... scanned them again with heavier marks on the torso for emphasis on the solid drawing in its squash and stretch
Hercules™; Pegasus™ © Disney
Rainbow Dash™; My Little Pony™: Friendship Is Magic™ Hasbro/Lauren Faust
Done with Crayola® erasable colored pencil; sky blue
Video made with and converted into .gif from WindowsLive®MovieMaker®

UPDATE!: (08/19/16) The extemes may be coming out imperfectly by the hindlegs. I just improvised the whole lining with regular Crayola® brand colored pencil, it was getting shorter so I may switch to another with a Prismacolor® brand, maybe using that, and I hope it doesn't break, this can give me more definition. Enjoy this wondrous gif of Rainbow Dash spinning like a missile!

Wow! :O The sense of weight and fluidity of motion in this piece is incredible!

It's been a while since I got a compliment for it.
I wanted to capture and convey they flow of a figure's motion, specifically with short haired animals, ultimately for kinetic behavior of muscles.

I like the defined face of her; much more aerodynamique than the real one.
