The Protector’s Hidden Roots part 4

This is the sequel to A New Power Arising, please read that before reading this or else you won’t understand what is happening.

Flame, Tyler, and Ruby had been running through the village to get where all the fighting had been taking place. Three Gravelers turned around a corner ahead of the group and started to run at them.

“Out of the way!” Ruby shouted as she used Razor Leaf against the Graveler on the left, it shouted in pain and flew back a little.

“I’m sorry,” Flame said as he dashed straight at the Gravelers with an incredible speed. He stopped right in front of the two Gravelers and punched both of them. After they got hit, both of them were knocked-out and fell on their backs. “Please forgive me.” Ruby jumped into the air and happened to hover over the Graveler, she then once again used Razor Leaf and it struck the Graveler head-on, knocking it out after the impact.

“Nice job you two!” Tyler shouted happily.

“Thanks Tyler, Ruby you aren’t half bad you know.” Flame complimented.

“Thanks, you ain’t half bad yourself.” Ruby replied.

“We need to keep moving!” Tyler said as he ran past Flame and Ruby. They both saw him running by and followed him.

“Serene, Serene are you there?” Flame asked telepathically.

“What’s wrong Flame?” Serene asked with concern.

“Is anything going on over there?” Flame asked.

“No, not yet. Is something going on over there?” Serene asked.

“Yeah there is. The Tribe of Gras is under attack by the Earth Warriors.” Flame replied.

“Already? I’ll head over there to help out” Serene said.

“No! You need to stay there and help protect over there.” Flame said sternly.

“Alright Flame, let me know if you need me there.” Serene said.

“I will Serene.” Flame said assuring.

“Please be careful Flame.” Serene said worried about him.

“I will my love.” Flame said.

Flame, Tyler, and Ruby arrived at the battlefield, still poke’mon fighting amongst each other. One by one...Poke’mon were being knocked out by the savage fighting that had been taking place. The three of them witnessing it first-hand, Tyler and Ruby’s eyes glistened with sadness at their friend and comrades fainted. But their eyes also glistened with happiness to the fact that their friends and their comrades were fighting to make sure the tribe was safe. Flame’s anger was slowly rising as he watched the battle; he saw no purpose of the fight. He clenched his fist, gritted his teeth, giving off a sign of anger.

“Flame...?” Tyler said with worry and fear.

“Are you okay?” Ruby asked with concern.

“Get away from the area...”Flame said as his eyes glowed a darker blood red.

“I-I’m leaving.” Tyler said as he stuttered with his words.

“I wonder what is going to happen...”Ruby said to herself as she evacuated the area, Tyler following close behind her. Poke’mon were still fighting between each other, the Earth Warriors were winning the battle as more reinforcements arrived on scene. The Tribe of Grass was taking losses as they were being overwhelmed by their opponents.

Flame’s robe began to move like wind was hitting it, even though there wasn’t any wind in the area. Soon after, Flame began to glow a dark black aura and the white parts of his body changed to black.

“Ahhh!” Flame yelled in pain as he put both of his hands on his head and began to stumble around.

“Get away from me!” Flame shouted.

“You need me right now Flame,” A voice echoed.

“No-no I don’t!” Flame replied.

“Heh heh heh...It’s my turn for some fun Flame!” The voice said.

“Nooo!” Flame shouted as he stopped stumbling around, he removed his hands from his head and looked at the sky. Flame removed his robe and let it hit the ground.

“Ahh!!” Flame screamed in pain as two black wings came out of Flame’s back. The wings were covered in his blood and the wings looked scarred all over and had a few small open holes here and there, the wings themselves glowed their own evil aura.

“Ahh...” The new Flame sighed happily “my time has finally come. Now it is time to have some fun!” Flame said as he had an evil grin.

Some of the poke’mon noticed Flame’s transformation and were gawking at him, some of them showing fear.

“Flame!” Serene shouted as she grabbed her head and began to have a headache.

“Serene! What’s wrong?” Chris asked her worryingly.

“It’s-It’s Flame Chris! I can’t sense his thoughts or even sense him anymore.” Serene explained trying to remain calm about the situation.

“What? Why not?” Chris asked.

“I can’t be certain...But I must find out!” Serene said as the look in her eyes gave great determination.

“What do you think happened to him?” Chris asked softly.

“I’m not sure, but I am going to be careful.” Serene said.

“How are you going to be careful about it?” Chris continued to ask Serene questions.

“Like this...” Serene said as her necklace glowed white and a white aura surrounded her as well. Serene’s dress and robe began to move like the wind was hitting it. Her eyes began to glow a dark blue and white majestic wings appeared behind her back.

“A-Amazing...” Chris was stunned at her transformation.

“I shall be off now.” Serene said as she flashed and disappeared.

“Good luck.” Chris said softly.

“Ha ha ha ha ha!” Flame laughed evilly as he placed both of his hands on the ground and the entire ground was covered in a dark pool and all the poke’mon were stuck. The other poke’mon were yelling, shouting, and struggling to get out.

“Hwah!” Flame shouted as the edges of the dark pool rose to the sky and then shortly after Flame controlled the dark matter to encase itself and anything inside was pitch black. From the outside view it was like a gigantic black bubble. The poke’mon inside were still shouting and screaming to get out of it, but some of them realize it was pointless to struggle and some of them just waiting for the worst to come.

Serene appeared into the Tribe of Grass after a flash of white light came. She began to scan the area with her eyes and quickly noticed the gigantic black bubble; she had a shocked look on her face after seeing this. She flapped her wings and took to the skies and headed towards the bubble.

“What is going on around here?!” Serene thought to herself.

“Something seems amiss...What if Flame was involved or even he caused this? I wonder how I am going to handle this...” Serene continued to think to herself as she was gliding through the air swiftly.

“Ha ha ha ha! Good night and hope you sleep for eternity!” Flame shouted with a demonic tone. The bubble was shrinking in size; the height of it was decreasing rapidly. Serene noticed what was happening with the bubble and flapped her wings faster to gain speed and close in on her destination.

When Serene arrived the bubble was closing and the poke’mon could be seen laying on the ground unconscious as the bubble slowly seeped into the ground. Serene looked around and quickly saw Flame have his hands on the ground and retracting the darkness. Flame removed his hands from the ground as the darkness was gone and all the poke’mon that were caught were on the ground unconscious and having a dark aura around them.

Serene walked closer to Flame, as far as a talking distance should be. “What have you done here?!”

“I’ve done what I must have done, it was necessary to do this.”

“How is this necessary?!”

“It stopped the fighting didn’t it? I think that is reason enough.”

“Grr...” Serene said and sighed after “you never understand anymore Kakado.”

“Like you are one to talk Paldena. Maybe it is YOU who does not understand anymore.”

“What?! I know perfectly well on what to do here, but you putting them in nightmares? I don’t understand that at all, they shouldn’t have to suffer that greatly.”

“Well I don’t see you having any other bright ideas. Besides, as long as the job gets done you shouldn’t care.”

“I want the job done of course, but not like this, we could’ve done something a little more peaceful.”

“I doubt it. It may have taken too long anyways.”

“...Still, I don’t like how you did this to them.”

“Hm? What are you thinking?” Kakado got ready in a battle stance.

“Many things Kakado, many things...”

Kakado was silent “...”

“Like how I am going to take you down for this!” Paldena said as she shot a light energy beam from her hand.

“What the?!” Kakado was caught by complete surprise on that certain attack; he was knocked back a little.

“Please think about this before you go through with this Paldena.”

“I don’t know what to think anymore, but after what you did, this is enough reason to try and stop you so you can’t do this anymore.”

“If that is how you feel, then so be it Paldena,” Kakado said as he dashed at Paldena with his hands glowing a dark aura.
