Well, it's the last time I attempted to draw. Way back in 2001, I drew this on some printer paper based on a concept art drawing of Pooka from Wild Arms 2. The concept art was on RPGFan, but it's since been removed for some reason. I just managed to find it on this random site: http://www.animegalleries.net/img/198314
Basically I drew the lines with a pencil on some printer paper and scanned it in. Then I took Paint Shop Pro and a ball mouse and very sloppily traced over the sketch, then I used the paint bucket tool to add the colors, and a light source filter to try and get away without shading. It was a pretty lazy attempt overall.
I used to doodle when I was younger. Nothing really all that good. Maybe I could have been better, I don't know. I just stopped for maybe four or five years before I even drew this, and after this that was about it.
I've thought about giving it another shot, but I have no way of scanning it in. The only other way would be to get a capacitive stylus for our Android tablet and use some free art program on that, but I really don't expect to make anything worthwhile. I don't really have a passion for drawing. I've never been good with visual design, anyway. Give me all the tools in LittleBigPlanet and I'll stare at the screen for hours and not come up with anything other than a very poorly done level with no flow or cohesion. Trust me, I tried that once. Likewise, give me all the art tools at my disposal, and I'll have no idea what to do. I'm just not that type of person. Give me tools for writing, and I can try to come up with a decent story. I can't do that with drawing or any of that.
In the end, I don't really want any patronizing comments about how this is actually really good. Come on, this just isn't. Compared to the work featured in my gallery by actual artists, all of whom are very talented and should be the ones getting your attention (not me), this is poo smeared on the ashen ruins of an orphanage. I can't understate how awful my art is.
