I Modded my Nerf longshot as a prop for my rabbit cyber pirate costume
The first thing I did was take out the bolt from the bolt action I removed the bright orange grip from one side and replaced it with one of my small skulls.
I then removed the barrel extender/ hold out blaster and after taking apart the outer hulls I carefully cut the barrel from the gun.
I then removed the extending stock, and the bipod legs
I wanted something kinda War Hammer 40kish, to go with my claws so I blocked out the barrel extender
hell I even thought of a reason for the barrel through the skull.
The Idea is in this sniper core If the sniper's kill meets certian criteria and he can prove it to his superiors (generally all he needs is his spotters recording to back him up) he is allowed to take a trophy.
First off it has to be a clean kill (head or spine) Second It should be a important kill (High ranking officer, or leader of some sort, a kill that breaks the enemies moral) and Third The sniper must retrieve the head himself
Once the head is retrieved the sniper slides a steel spike down the barrel so non of the soft tissue or bone fragments foul the barrel. before he rams the head home, generally he threads the barrel through the entrance and exit wounds widening where necessary.
I painted the shell gray the bolt is black, and on the opposite side I added a small plastic skull that will move when the bolt is worked. the other bolt cover is also painted black and I removed the bi-pod and attached that bolt to the right side 0of the bipod mount. on the other side I attached a bicycle handle bar as a cross grip for the gun
It's still a functioning blaster too
I painted the barrel to match the blaster then I mounted the laser in the right eye socket and a LED flashlight in the left before attaching it to the barrel. each light is attached to it's own switch so the laser site can be on with or with out the light.
With the barrel extender and the cross grip, the gun looks alot like a light machine gun. Its a good fit too.
the laser sight isn't accurate it slants down ward but its for the look of the thing the switches are behind the jaws
I removed cross grip I had mounted on the gun this way I can use the base like a pulse rifle with out the grip getting in the way. I then attached it to a toy knife. I then rewired the laser and light to the grip. the white button controls the laser, and the red one the flashlight. I then mounted the knife blade to the roof of the skulls mouth.
I think the knife in the teeth look for the cross grip looks pretty cool what about you guys
