I figure Itchy's a bit drunk and while he's a tad selfish he also might have some bits of honor about him (not that he'd ever honestly admit it) and the kid did save him from being a popsicle in some monster's lair until it'd decide to thaw and munch him down. So going to make a random, wild guess and say that while he's drunk he's also going to want to get the lad back, and he also thinks that if saving him from an old lady gets him even, heck that can't be too hard to pull off.
Of course, neither of them knows the way the woman dressed and that staff she carried just might be magical and ahem, we'll have to wait and see, but the tension is building!
