As a test comic, looks superb IMO; I like how you've used the dots background thing with gradient, makes it feel less 'in your face' than it is sometimes in comics I've seen. Expressions and shading on stuff like the eyes looks fantastic too :). Nice one.
But yeah, I see Kai and Rio get along so well. XD Is a pity they might've made good mates otherwise.
