this year has been a bit of a life changer for me in many aspects (good ways though). Im slowly finding myself again and becoming more comfortable and confident in my own skin and sexuality and have even come out to people i previously feared ever coming to.
Pride has always felt a bit…weird for me the Bi and Pan phobia is always rampant this time of year making this month of accepting everyone into cherry picking whos the most ‘not straight’ of the bunch and thats not what Pride month is supposed to be about. I always felt like I couldn’t enjoy this month as much as others due to this in community fighting.
I dont want to be afraid anymore of not being part of the status quo— I’m me,I love who I want to love and I’m going to keep it that way whether people understand it or not.
To all my Bisexual and Pansexual allys? Be strong,be proud and be loud. Whether the straights or the queer understand us or not they cant take away that we are what we are.
