I upgrade Ubuntu from 20.04 LTS, Focal Fossa, to 22.04 LTS, Jammy Jellyfish, and the upgrade broke Mypaint. I used to change brushes by bringing the brush window up, but doing that now makes the selected brush not work. Not only, but I can no longer use the straight line and curve tool with my tablet, because it mistakes the point where the line is supposed to start.

So, I put the brushes in the side tray now, so I can change the brush without bringing the window up. If I can have a working curve and straight line tool, I can draw using just the laptop's touch pad. I'll give my tablet to my nephew and get even closer to full ghetto by no longer working with a tablet. Provided I can make Mypaint work, I'm willing to make some sacrifices.

If I were to leave Ubuntu again (I'm actually coming back to it), I would use Manjaro. It's very snappy and stable, even if the software repository is small.

Distro hopping is a thing for a reason.
If your PC sucks so bad there are distros specifically for that

I used to distro-hop, but it became very tiring after three years.

I used LMDE after ditching Ubuntu back in Saucy Salamander days. My favorite system was Manjaro, though. If I were to leave Ubuntu again, I would probably settle with Manjaro.

I heard manjaro is broken as all hell as of now but there are plenty of great options out there.
When i wanna figure it out i just download a bunch of distros and make a bunch of VMs on virtualbox until i find something that suits me

I prefer to use live sessions, rather.
