Previously on Galarian Days...

As our heroes continue their journey across the sea, Wufu regales Zander and Calvin with the final pieces of his origin story. Right after he wraps up, the G-MAS closes in on their destination: Eternal Island...

-

At last, the royal steeds connected the ice bridge to a different shore; this one much larger. After they trotted off of the ice and stopped onto dry land, Zander and Wufu dismounted while Calvin stayed on to keep them reined.

"Welp, we're finally here," Zander said as he turned around to face Calvin on Spectrier's back. "And it's all thanks to you three."

"Yep, we wouldn't have made it here without you," Wufu agreed.

"Thanks, guys," Calvin said, beaming. "But I can't take all the credit. Calyrex did give me its blessing with its steeds, after all."

"Of course," Wufu said. "Say, speaking of which, do you think you could hand me one of those Iceroot Carrots? I wanna give Glastrier a treat."

"Good idea, Wufu," Zander said. "Spectrier certainly deserves a Shaderoot Carrot for its troubles, too."

Both steeds whinnied their approval of the idea. "Coming right up!" Calvin said as he extended the reins enough to reach into his basket and extract one of each carrot. As he reached out to hand them to the wolf and bear, he added, "A little tip, though: keep your palms flat."

Zander and Wufu nodded in understanding as they accepted the carrots, then presented them to the corresponding steed in open palms, kept flat as per Calvin's advice. Glastrier inspected the Iceroot Carrot in Wufu's paws, while Spectrier the Shaderoot Carrot in Zander's. Finally, both steeds happily ate their offerings, and when their mouths reached the last bites, their lips brushed against paw pads, causing the wolf and bear to stifle giggles.

Calvin picked up on the laughing and asked, "Hmm? What's so funny?"

"Nothing, just- ha ha ha!" Zander tried to say while Spectrier picked up a morsel of carrot. "The lips tickle my pads!"

"Mine, too-hoo-hoo!" Wufu chuckled as Glastrier got the last bit of its treat.

With both sets of paws empty now, the black and white steeds expressed their gratitude with nuzzles against their feeders. "Aw, I think they like you guys now," Calvin said. "Guess the poem applies to anyone who feeds them."

"I'll say," Wufu said as Glastrier broke the nuzzle.

"Aw, you're welcome," Zander said after Spectrier was done, so happy from the attention that his tail started to wag. But, nice as it was, they still had a mission to carry out. "Alright, sweet's sweet and all, but the opposite crisis isn't going to stop itself."

"Right," Calvin said as he disconnected the reins and hopped off of Spectrier's back... but since he was sitting the longest, his legs started to tingle. "Whoop! There it goes!"

"What happened?" Zander said as he and Wufu rushed to the deer's aid.

"Pins and needles, can't feel my legs," Calvin said before the wolf and bear each grabbed an arm to support him. "Whoa, thanks, guys."

"Don't mention it," Zander said.

"Yeah, us messengers have to look out for each other," Wufu added.

As Calvin was grateful for the help, he tried to wiggle his hooves to get the feeling back in them. A few second later, he was able to get his footing back. "Okay, I'm good now. Now, let's go figure out a way to get these Galar particles back to Galar."

Finally, the three anthros proceeded forward towards the mainland of the island, leaving the white and black steeds back at the shore until they needed to leave. There, they were able to witness the main feature of Eternal Island up close and personal: a network of 18 hexagonal stations connected to each other, with an orb containing Dynamiasma dust hovering five yards over each one, towering over all that witnessed them.

Speaking of witnesses, Macro Cosmos employees were standing guard below the orbs, forcing the anthros to hide behind a rock until they could come up with a strategy to fight.

"Okay, here's what we know so far," Zander whispered so they wouldn't be spotted. "The particles in those orbs need to be returned from where they came, and the only thing standing between us and them is an army of Macro Cosmos grunts probably poised to destroy us on sight. Any ideas?"

"Strike them down before they strike us down?" Wufu tried. "Unless this place has a Power Spot we don't know about, they can't set any giant Pokemon on us."

"Okay, that's the plan to beat. Any other ideas in case that doesn't work?"

"How about, one of us creates a distraction while the other two free the particles?" Calvin suggested.

"Alright, I volunteer Wufu to distract," Zander said.

"What?" Wufu said, feeling thrown under the bus. "Why do I have to be the distraction?"

"Because I need time to find things to make my weapons, and Calvin needs backup from the steeds," Zander explained.

"Yeah, neither of our powers are at the ready like yours."

"Fine," Wufu said with a huff. "But if they start aggressing, I'm going through with my idea."

"No need," a fourth voice said, making all three anthros look up at a MC grunt who was evesdropping!

"Don't you know it's rude to listen in on other people's conversations!?" Zander hollered.

"And what is it called when three trespassers invade private property?" the grunt challenged.

"We don't have to answer you!" Wufu shot back.

"So either back off, or get written off as fodder!" Calvin piled on.

"Fine," the grunt said as he held up a small remote from behind his back. "You want these particles so badly? Go ahead and take them."

With a press of a button, suddenly the orbs over the island started moving towards each other. As they started to touch, they began to converge with each other like soap bubbles, causing the particles inside to blend and mix together until the whole thing became a rainbow cloud in a gigantic, hollow ball, but it didn't end there. The cloud suddenly shifted to solid cerise, and the bubble instantly popped with a deafening "BANG!"

Zander, Wufu and Calvin covered their ears to try and block out the noise, but the cerise mass landed on the platform network and started to morph into a larger, cerise version of the Normal Dynamiasma Zander and Wufu fought before!

"The boss had a feeling you three would try to stop progress," the grunt explained, "so she gave us the green light for an emergency failsafe countermeasure. Now if you want to put the kibosh on the Miniasma project, first you'll have to put the kibosh on this... Giganta Matter!"

"That's it!" Wufu said as he summoned the shadowy aura and shot towards the monster, but with how big it was, and how small he was in comparison, all it had to do was bat him away with its paw to send him hurtling back to the ground, crashing and skidding in the sand all the way back to Zander and Calvin.

"Wufu!" Calvin shouted as he rushed towards the bear in concern to brush the sand off of him. "Are you alright?!"

As Wufu got up, he shook the rest of the sand off before finally saying, "Welp, we're pulp."

"No, we're not!" Zander said, refusing to give up. "We just have to work together!"

"But how?" Wufu asked. "You said so yourself, your powers aren't at the ready like mine! The steeds are still on standby for Calvin, but the three of us can't take that thing together! Not without something for you to turn into your weapons!"

"Maybe they can help!" Calvin said as he readied more carrots. "Come here, Glastrier and Spectrier! Help us, please!"

Two neighs rang out in harmony, and the steeds galloped towards the anthros... with flat and long pieces of washed-up driftwood they were carrying in their mouths!

"That'll do it!" Zander called out, and in a sequence of Calvin trading the carrots for the driftwood, Zander was equipped with his weapons! "Get ready, team! Here comes the tricky part!"

"Right!" Wufu said as he summoned both auras together! "Time to combine our powers!"

"I'm on it!" Calvin tacked on as he connected his reins to the steeds, and with everyone primed, they all rushed together at full speed back towards Giganta Matter!

"Chou Hissatsu! Za-Fu-Trier FINISH!!!"

Right as the cerise giant fired off a massive Max Strike, the group rushing towards it became a thick pillar of red-and-blue energy in a candy-cane swirl, blasting through the air and piercing the mass of stolen Galar particles itself... but as the pillar emerged from the other side, something mysterious happened...

Some of the particles got absorbed into the pillar, then changed color from cerise to cerulean. The ones inside then started merging together and expanding! Bigger... and bigger... AND BIGGER!!! Eventually, the mass became the same size as Giganta Matter, then took on a more bipedal shape. Arms grew and gained hands, legs grew and gained feet, then a head formed at the top.

Next, the shoulders started growing masses of cloth that hung from them, while a cape flowed from the back and a robe around the front. Wrists and ankles gained prominent cuffs, and a large, bulbous growth swelled from the top of the head, resembling a large crown.

Finally, the mass's face and body was revealed: a giant fusion of the Galarian Messenger All-Stars with pieces of the Legendary Pokemon of Galar mixed in! A hybrid anthropomorphic beast with a face of four colors, clad in Zamazenta's cuffs, Urshifu's armor robe, and Calyrex's crown and cape with a mix of Zacian and Zamazenta's long, flowing locks draped over the cape, the whole being hovering over the ocean near Eternal Island and shining cerulean as it stared its cerise opponent.

All that was witness to the phenomenon that happened knew one thing: there was going to be a powerful showdown, and the winner was to decide the fate of all of Galar...
