ARGHH I’m pulling my hair out!!!
I have identified many areas for improvement and the conclusion is: Learn anatomy
So I start learning and damn is it hard.
I have no professional help and hence will be relying on youtube guides, most notably Stan Prokopenko and his anatomy playlist.

I still have no idea how most of the muscles are supposed to look like and still get the ones I already have learned and practiced wrong. These sketches are the best looking out of the hundreds of others I’ve done and honestly I can’t do any better currently. Just have to keep practicing.

Started with shadow because he’s the most complex and the most lean. Shoes are wack with geometry and head spines are angled. Plopping shadow’s head onto a realistically proportioned human body does not look nice, need some stylised art to warp the body to resemble more mobian like figures. I’ve identified a few sonic artists that I can reference and trace simple forms to see how they handle this problem and I won’t add my name to works that are not 100% drawn without references.

I also have the 12.9” M1 ipad, magic keyboard (which is expensive as fuck), pencil 2 and procreate.
