Man ...there just aren't many animated Independence Day specials. :p
I can sort of see why, but I was hoping for a little *more than 'Uncle Sam Magoo' ...especially since I recall this special only from memory---almost nothing of it save for some cam-rips of the special's intro and 'railroad' sequence exists on YouTube (I'm not even going to bother linking).
*I'm aware of The American Rabbit---I've drawn him before, albeit, I should probably do so again.
Anyway...
I'm not a fan of Mr. Magoo; I don't like the character (just saying). His shtick is that he's near-sighted and oblivious to the problems this causes himself and others. It gets tired VERY fast (if you like Mr. Magoo, it's perfectly fine, but the cartoon's not for me).
Featured here with Mr. Magoo is this 'Three Cheers' pencil from Empire. This pencil is from the 1940's, but it is post-WWII as indicated by its metal ferrule. Mine was unsharpened, and I didn't want to change that, so I delineated Mr. Magoo via an Eagle 'Arcadia' pencil (which I'll feature eventually).
Happy Independence Day to all my American watchers! For everyone else ...um ...Well, I mean, I wish everyone well, in general, and at all times, so, I dunno---don't die; be warm and safe, or something ...I dunno---this somehow became awkward. ^^
