It would work if split into panels, then you hover above one with the mouse, or tap/click, and then that one panel becomes active. Maybe with sound, dialog, voice, etc.
Don't do every animation from scratch, you can reuse a lot in many situations. It worked as early as in The Sims and it never got boring there. x3

Just like a randomized, smooth, low frequency oscillator works, you can add variation to animation loops by modulating the speed, and "amplitude" (how much of the individual loop cycle gets played, the starting point, the end point, etc). You can do that once already rendered, in most cases.

Yeah, I do have it broken into panels. Still, I think it's more animation than I wanna do. :P And voices are not possible. I'd have to just have animal noises.
