I don't really do backgrounds enough so i figured why not try one but simpler. Added bonus for me atleast is try to do shadows better than some 2nd outline right behind the character plus lighting but not bright enough to light up the whole room. That being said i still need more practice with backgrounds and overall lighting plus shadows. Looks very amateurish on shading with a light source. Trying to keep detail to as little as possible and keep things simple, for the most part its simple... too simple i need more practice.
