The Tælurjk are a peaceful, extremely advanced species, despite their simplicity. They act as a hive mind, negotiating and providing goods, services and knowledge to other lesser species, in exchange for hosts for their parasitic reproduction. They however abhor slavery and always hold their hosts in high regard, treat them with respect and try to make their parasitic cycle as painless as possible - so much so that many hosts willingly choose to stay for more cycles, sometimes for the rest of their lives.

Other than Vortigaunts, I am actually intrigued by this peaceful parasite hive mind race.
Usually when a hive mind is involved, it is associated with a loss of identity and becoming one with something that might use and abuse you later on. But in here, it's almost refreshing to see a hive mind parasite race being peaceful.
