This is part of the Smaugust challenge where I have to draw a dragon themed artwork every day for this month. I also have a prompt list just for fun. I thought I would try this because I don't draw dragons often and I would like to practice and it just sounds fun to ^w^
I originally wanted to make this like the mechanical dwarfs from skyrim or the structures from Zelda breath of the wild but i knew i couldn't draw that and do it justice so instead i went with this design which is based off the ancient markings from the opening to zelda games. I haven't done this style before but i think it came out pretty well ^w^
edit after colour
a deep orange and red because red or orange is often the colour they use in traditional art. also the face reminds me of the boat from zelda windwaker so thats also a factor lol
