This is when the time machine in the story Clarence Coyote and Project Courier was built. It is January of 1970, and the machine, code named Project Courier, is nearly complete..
The scientist inside the machine is Woodrow Raccoon, who is mentioned often in the story during the year 1960. Woodrow is veteran scientist of more that 40 years in the profession.
The Bear is a junior scientist who had recently earned his doctor's degree in various fields of physics, energy and nuclear science.
Of course, this is also 40 years before Clarence was born. However, Clarence had spent 6 months as an 8 year old cub in the year 1960 as a result of being carried from the future year of 2018 to 1960, then later back to 2018.

Pic #3 shows the machine in motion as it is landing in Kansas in a different time era a short while after sundown...I have to say, even to me, Pic #3 does look eerie.
The machine radiates a rapidly pulsating, cobalt blue, energy field upon take off, which is the driving force of the machine. The energy field emits a low, deep, flickering humming sound.

Once the machine is about 400 feet up, it disappears into the time limbo with a sound like that of a muffled sonic boom.
Upon arrival to it's destination time, the machine suddenly appears with the same muffled boom, then descends by means of the energy field to land. Then the energy ceases, and the door opens to behold the occupants arrive to their destined time era.

Oh dear, I really need this machine. I wish I could travel 20 years ago. And fix some things.
Wait a minute... does it mean that UFO is a timetrevelers? :O

It's anyone's guess whether UFOs are time travel crafts or not, being we know nothing about them.

I think UFOs are time-traveling probes from the future documenting the past. Same we send probes to take pictures of Mars, scientists from the future send probes to record us, since we are the equivalent of cavemen for them.

Interesting theory...We never know for sure.

You're not alone in this matter.  Most people wish they had a time machine so they could go back and inform their younger selves about the consequences of their actions.like Clarence's unauthorized trip back to 1960, for instance.

Actually, the way going back to your past works in my story does not have a "two yous" scenario.
If you were 30 years old in the year 2020, and went back in time to 10 years ago in 2010 when you were age 20, the moment you arrived in the machine to 2010 you wouldn't be anywhere around as a 20 year old, simply because there can not be two of you at any given time. You would be a 20 year who suddenly became a 30 year old during your visit to 2010.

Say if you were planting a garden as a 20 year old in 2010. Upon arrival of the machine, you'd suddenly disappear from the garden as a 20 year old, and find yourself as a 30 year old in the machine as it is landing.

Then when you as a 30 year old depart back for 2020, upon the machine disappearing on it's way back to 2020, you suddenly become age 20 again, and back out at the garden you were planting as a 20 year old like it was before the machine arrived.
However, it would be different in that you would gain knowledge of future mistakes you will make beyond 2010 as a result of the experience...That's because now, you do have memories of future experiences you had been thinking about while you were a 30 year old from the year 2020.
As a 20 year old in 2010, you'd now have some knowledge about yourself in the future.
In the year 2020, you'd have a clear memory of the experience, both from the present trip, and from back 10 years ago...It would all be the same of course...When it was 2010, 2020 was in the future and was yet to be. And when it is 2020, 2010 is in the past.

Now if for some reason the machine malfunctions and can't get you back to 2020, you'll always be 10 years older than what it has been...By the time you simply waited 10 years for it to be 2020, you would be age 40 in 2020 instead of age 30.

Going to the future works the same way.

Guess I never thought of that.  So much for what I've seen in Back to the Future, with the two Biff Tannens and Doc Browns meeting themselves.

I like the design of the time machine! It feeling both retro and futuristic at the same time!

Thank you for compliment.

When I created the idea for it, I set out to achieve a look that was not a typical ordinary machine, but yet something that would look real. And how it turned out was very much to my satisfaction.

I have to say, I have seen other depictions of time machines that looked like something out of a carnival or a circus.

I think that you succeeded! It does look like a functional and believable machine!

I know what you mean, those weird carousels and golden chairs from older movies. I've never understood those designs. They don't even seem to protect the user from any dangerous environments.

The ones I really find crazy are the ones on shows and other movies that are covered in flashing lights, have a big clock on top, have a couple of hypno disc spiral wheels, a whistle on the side, hoses on it everywhere. And they make silly sounds when in operation.

I depict mine as making a electro flutter sound.

Some of the silly depictions of time machines sound similar to this;

My time machine sounds like the first 9 seconds of the URL at current time I posted from this video.

Haha, exactly! These weird baby toy sounds!

I like that sound! It implies that large quantities of energy are at work, which would be important for an actual time machine to function!

Yeah, those are silly and not believable. They did so many bad time machines in fiction, it's really sad.

so theres an unclothed version?
moyomongoose

I started doing clothed versions at the time I made this one.

My first clothed version was both clothed and fur clad versions of Ryan Lynx and Randy Fox peeing on a hot burn barrel.  Other artists, including myself, felt the characters wearing outfits looks a lot cuter.
