A little future vision for my Zootopia stories. As casually mentioned, as soon as the second part of this pair turns sixteen, the age of marriage with parental consent, it's happening. Due to Simba being kind of a terrible mammal, originally it was going to be a cheap affair carried out at the city registry office. But after the full aftermath of "The Bloody Street Incident" and the following scandal involving Tree of Life consultation services, Nala got control of the purse strings and the family dynamic, as a condition of not divorcing Simba. Thus, she could let Kiara have her dream wedding. Not just for herself, but for Vitani's sake too. It really is about her.
Kiara Pride may be a princess in her own estimation but she's more exuberant than haughty. She loves her bight colors and light subjects. Her design specification was modest, understated, just something plain. The little Simba marks are more a Pride family emblem. Having them is one last indication. She loses her Pride when the pen scrapes out on the marriage certificate.
Vitani Kaamu. A strange girl even for a slum-kid. She found some old Candide albums in a bargain bin and was totally gothed-out ever since. She didn't have dreams, just aspirations of survival. Then Kiara came into her life. That bright rainbow shining over the trash fire of Happytown was enough to tell her that it was okay to be happy. A little. She's still a snark machine. But dreams... dreams come to all. Kiara's money made sure she got her wish. Her brother Nuka introduced her to the concept of Gothic Cub, childish, dark styles that are elaborate, classy and dour. Just her taste. She could have her dream wedding dress, to stand beside her dream wedding partner. Oh, and the classic gothy sleeves? Not from the designer. Out of her own closet, cheap arm stockings that she usually has safety pinned to distressed shirts. You can't see it but there is deffo a bulge in the right one. Even on her own wedding day she never goes anywhere without her butterfly knife.
Since they get to have a fun wedding, that means that after the Ceremony (Peaceground, naturally, officiated by Tender Faraja Fisi, a friend of the family) they get to have a massive reception. Food, lots of guests, and even a mini-concert by Candide the goth rock onager himself (but, shh, that's a secret; Vitani will never be able to get over her awe and amazement. She has the best girlfriend. Wife. Partner.)
