A nice little father-son moment for Shiitaka and Waffle.  I'm sure Waffle wished he got to have more moments like this with his family.  But for now, he'll enjoy it while it lasts.

I wanted to post something nice today for Waffle's birthday (not that I planned this, but it works out).  I mostly just wanted something with Shiitaka and kid Waffle and it be a nice moment for the two of them.  It was hard to find a reference for this, at least one that had exactly what I was looking for, but this turned out ok too.  I like drawing the kind of "slice of life" moments with my characters.

Notice my half-ass, cheap-ass, baby-ass, ass-ass attempt at doing a background.  I knew I wasn't really going to find something I could use, so I had to make something on my own.  Its fine for what it is considering that's not the main focus here. This drawing already has a lot going against me as it has many elements I can't stand doing like, profile shots, background, shading, and kids.  Well, I don't mind drawing children/chibis, I'm just not good at it.
