This is a gift art for my art-friend at DA, Mari Esperanzo-Reisin, on the happy occasion of her birthday! Dottie thought she'd surprise the possums in her own inimitable fashion. The confection is her own recipe, a red mescal cake drizzled with prickly pear frosting. And she brought her own party poppers, too! I want to personally wish Mari a very Happy Birthday with all the best wishes for the year ahead. She posts GREAT stuff and is just too cool for words.
