THE ONES WITH X'S THROUGH WILL BE CHANGING! D:
Most of these are conceptual---some will likely be modified in some way before I get to work on their story art.
Some of these characters have been seen before, esp. Gene and (more recently) Tasli. Lily-Winter has also been drawn a few times (by those who partook in my '*Reverse Gallery' from the late 2000's).
*by the by, I have almost all the art from that ...I just don't have all the artists' names, so ...if you were in that, please note me. ^^;
Though I've been writing this story a long, long while, I've yet to draw the majority of the characters. So I've made a head sheet of some of the main cast.
Again, the likenesses and colors are very likely to change; these are just tests/concepts.
From top left to right:
1. Cliff Buckley.
Cliff is a light-brown rabbit; youngest of three brothers. Though very attached to his wife and kits, he doesn't handle responsibility well ...so of course a great responsibility is thrust onto him (this cannot end well).
2. Donovan Buckley.
The eldest of the Buckley brothers. Donovan thinks highly of himself and has very lofty ambitions for power (at any cost).
3. Grim Buckley.
The middle Buckley. Grim is gentle and peace-loving, albeit he's a bit of a drinker.
Grim often comes between Cliff and Donovan in matters of dispute (which may explain the alcohol).
Thompson is a siamese cat with the power of 'visions'---he can see into the futures of his acquaintances, but cannot control whose he'll foresee (or when).
Thompson was considered an oracle by the late father of the Buckley brothers (he and Thompson were very close).
Thompson is the central character and 'villain' of this story.
*I like the fur pattern, but I'll be changing Thompson's colors (he's too fox-like)
5-6. Assault and Battery
Yes, yes, their names are corny but what can you do? A&B are a brother-sister mercenary team (who seem to have been recently hired by the Buckley's ...Hm)
Didymus is a little boy bunny with an interest in performance arts (he's been raised in a theater).
Didymus knows little about life outside the theater. Coupled with his youth, Didymus is easily misled.
Roland is a yellow puppy: he's loyal and protective (esp. of his best friend Didymus), but most on the street see Roland as trouble (and for good reason).
Roland has taken it upon himself to toughen Didymus and teach him his ways ...what could happen?
*I greatly dislike this design; I will be changing it!
9. Princess Rose
A royal with an inferiority complex (she's jealous of her sisters), Rose has sought to better herself through higher education and work in diplomatic endeavors.
Although Roes has chosen a noble path, the self-serving motivation behind it could result in backfire.
*another design I hate; I'll be changing it!
Though intelligent and well-educated, Renard is every bit as cynical as he believes others to be. Even so, he has a weakness for the ladies (and right now, his eye is on Princess Rose).
Renard's father is a dictator with whose ideals and policies Renard didn't agree with. Renard was able to flee his father's country, finding himself in a strange new world ...which Renard also finds unsatisfying.
An experiment from some mysterious place called Site Six, Gene is a 'bion': a cybernetic creature with strange powers.
Gene is peaceful and given to deep, existential thoughts and concepts (Gene esp. wonders whether he has a soul).
*Yes I've changed his design AGAIN (this is... the fifth time? I just couldn't stand the ruffs on the last version---this one should be final.
Gene's best friend and fellow bion. More athletic than intelligent, Tasli tends to get himself (and Gene) into trouble.
Unlike Gene, Tasli enjoys having powers (he wants to be a superhero when he grows up).
Not her real name, of course. Strawberry is a rabbit-fox hybrid who has joined a crew of all-female space pirates (who all have fruit-themed names ..why? We don't ask!)
*hybrids are counted as lower-class creatures in many places---their lives tend to be quite rough
Lily is a cat-wolf hybrid and the 'hero' of this story (albeit she isn't the main character).
I cannot write much about Lily without getting into plot, but suffice it to say she has a strong type-A personality, adept at organizing her pack (to fight against injustice).
A fox-wolf hybrid, Tyson works for Assault, as a henchman. Tyson is good with his fists (hence the name---corn for all!).
Tyson has a crush on Strawberry.
White fox cub. Erick is a student in a boarding school. He has ambitions to become a Dragon (a member of the air-space force), but his autism holds him back.
*I like this, in general, but red is NOT Erick's color!
