Time to put some moves on Featherweight. You lean a front leg around the barrier and stand next to him, getting in close to brush your fur up against his as your hoof snakes onto his shoulder. "Can I see some of the other pictures you took today?"
Feather smiles up at you. "S-sure!" He cycles back to the beginning of the day's photos and starts to look through them with you. You can feel him trembling slightly, but he's definitely not moving away from you. In fact, his body moves slightly closer to you and you can feel his little rump brush up against your belly. You press against him a bit more to meet his movements, even giving a brief mane nuzzle that elicits a giggle.
The pictures are all innocent, various race signage and shots of the racers posing in front of their carts before the event. He eventually loops back to the two cheer leaders from before. "Th-that's all I have today, I save and wipe the memory every night."
"Ah. You still have all of those cool shots from yesterday though?", you ask while putting a bit on emphasis on "all" of the pictures Feather took.
He stammers and looks down at his camera. "Y-y-yeah, I can uh...I can show you them still, if you still want to see them I mean."
You pat your hoof on his shoulder and hug him a bit closer. "Of course I do, bud. Maybe we can set up a board back at my work to show off some of those really pretty shots. Maybe you have some time to come by my place after this?" Featherweight looks up at you after and you give him a wink. He blushes softly and trembles again.
"I-I..yeah. I just uh...need to fly by my house real quick to get everything." Feather looks back down at his camera again, seeing the pictures of Perky and Peachy. "Thanks again for suggesting the cheer, Muds. That was a pretty good idea."
"Oh no problem, Feath'. Seemed like they had fun anyways." You look across the track to Perky and spot him just as his head spins away from your direction. "You know those two from school, huh?"
"Sorta. We're all in the same grade and stuff, b-but I'm taking pictures at every event that Peachy and Perky cheer at so that's really how I know them."
Suddenly, a commotion starts to form as the crowd draws focus back to the track. Cheerilee signals to the two foals and the three launch into another cheer. Two carts come barrelling around the curve, neck and neck in a tight race. Featherweight hops back up on your back and watches with excitement as the racers speed by. The two of you shout along with the crowd as the second lap officially begins, your eyes briefly drawn to Barley Grind further down the track. He looks to be beaming with excitement, shouting and cheering like everyone else.
Featherweight flaps his wings and hovers over your head. "I gotta get down to the bend near the coffee shop to get some more pictures of first and second place. I'll be back for the finish!" With that, he suddenly zooms off over the crowd before you can get a word in.
Your attention turns back to the race as some of the carts more focused on fun than competition start to drive past. It will be a short amount of time before Feather comes back.
