The most common thing you'll most likely hear about Solar City is that it is a town followed by three exclamation points. Every citizen, from the lowest sanitation worker up to Mayor Cartwright herself are exceptional individuals. Whatever it is you do, you can bet it's being done just a little bit better by a resident of this town. That said, if you were the sort of person to piss in the punch bowl, you might point out that the one glaring exception to this rule would be Solar City's various news outlets.
Given the nature of the rich and powerful here, a press corp that works WITH the city's elite is far preferable to a bunch of Nosey Parkers always looking under rocks for trouble. As a result, a careful yet covert process of selection and guiding ensures that only the most docile and uninquisitive members careers advance in any meaningful way. Camera presence, clear enunciation and television good looks are the only major requirements. Which brings us to one Paula Annabelle Pedigree...
Sweet Paula Pedigree is the go getting news anchor for KSOL-TV 13 as well as a close personal friend to Liberty Lass. "Paula won't win any science fairs," Goldie would say, "But I've never met a kinder, more caring person in all my days!". This is a sentiment echoed throughout the city, but our intrepid news hound doesn't let such talk go to her head! No-siree. Paula only sees herself as a workaday gal doing a job she loves. Add to this that she has a wild talent for being in the right place at the right time to catch super villainy in action. And THAT brings us to the REAL source of Paula's fame...
Paula has the distinction of having been captured and held by EVERY super villain in town TWICE, hypnotized/mind controlled 14 times (that are verified), grown to gigantic proportions and set loose on the city three times, cloned in an attempt to create an all girl ninja force, transmuted into solid silver, turned into a sea serpent, and replaced with robot duplicates on four occasions. Her pages on the Cape fansites outstrips several veteran villains and her category on CapeFic.Net has over 2400 entries (discounting the adult material). Much to the disappointment of the fanbase though, she steadfastly refuses to merchandize herself... but appears in SEVERAL posters with her best pal Liberty Lass...
