Everyone was filled with a sense of happiness as things were slowly coming together. It has been almost four months since Drazernon’s reign of terror came to an end and Draco proposed to Maxwell, and everyone was now setting up for the big day. The sun was barely rising as Nomad walked into the main hall of the castle and looked at all the lovely decorations, the white and black decorations looking nice against the gray walls, and the light blue coloring that went with the gray. It was all so beautiful and Nomad could tell, as she walked over and adjusted a few ribbons at the front where they made an altar for the event where the two love birds would stand. Nomad smiled softly as she placed her hand on the altar and nodded gently, she was so proud of her son Maxwell, because he had grown to a great fighter, and wonderful prince, and he was even training Inferno to be a king. She was very happy that he grew into such a wonderful young man, and was even more happy that he was getting married. She started walking down the hall to go and see if he was ready, or getting ready, looking around at the peaceful and quiet castle as she was relieved there was no more warring for the time. “They did a wonderful things and kept the world safe for the time, and I’m so proud of them for that.” She said as she knocked on a door and silently entered to see Maxwell currently in a white tuxedo and looking in the mirror, adjusting himself as he looked a bit nervous, but aside from that was dressing up nicely. Nomad smiled softly as she entered, and glanced over to see Inferno sitting on the bed watching, a sling around his neck than reached near his waist with an egg inside it. Within the months after the battle, he had the child the doctor mentioned he and Marie had. It was a painful memory but he was determined to take care of the child if it were to be born.
“Still nothing from the egg?” Nomad asked as Inferno looked, sighing softly as he shook his head. When Inferno was used as the catalyst, it messed up his body a bit, and the others wondered if it also had an impact on his child. Bael and Saria both took the time to examine it and could tell there was an actual life in the egg, but something was preventing it from actually growing and developing. Nomad sighed and gently kissed the hybrid on the head. “Don’t worry. Bael and Saria are very smart individuals, they’ll figure it out for you.” She smiled, staying optimistic as always, which really helped with Inferno, since he was still in a sadder mindset from everything that’s happened. Nomad was comforting to him, after everything he was put through. “I have hope. My father did something to me that made things difficult, but I trust my sister and I trust Bael. They fight for what they believe and I know they won’t leave this unanswered.” Inferno smiled, standing as he watched Maxwell. “But for now, I’m satisfied enough knowing I’m helping my brother be happy and get through his wedding. This is exciting truthfully.” He chuckled as Maxwell blushed some.
“You’re all excited and relieved, I’m over here being really nervous. Even Draco isn’t nervous. I’ve never been one for romantics so this is all new to me.” Maxwell said as he adjusted his tie and nodded. Nomad chuckled as she walked over and started brushing down the top of his head some. “Oh, you get that from your father. Drax was always a nervous wreck when it came to romantic stuff. Shari always had to help him, especially at our wedding. You’re just like your father and there’s nothing wrong with that. Speaking of, have either of you seen him?” She asked, Inferno and Maxwell looking at one another and shrugging. “If I leave him alone for a day, he goes missing. If it wasn’t for all his advisors and knights, I wonder how he’d fare.” The feline smiled at her boy’s, both of them chuckling at that as there was a knock on the door. Upon opening the door, Ornstein was standing behind and smiled softly. “Good morning your highness. I’m here to make sure everything is ready? There’s no rush, but I just want to make sure this is perfect for our prince and his soon to be husband.” Ornstein said, he was Maxwell’s best friend so of course he was on top of making this day special.
“Oh, yes, everything is almost ready Ornstein, thank you. We are just finishing getting him prepared.” She smiled softly, but had a bit of a tone of stern in her voice. Ornstein knew why and chuckled nervously. “Great! And your highness, please don’t worry. I know you’re still nervous about me dating Prince Inferno, but trust me, I wouldn’t ever dream of hurting him.” He said quickly as he knew that was why her stern side showed. Nomad nodded and relaxed hearing that as Inferno walked over and kissed Ornstein on the cheek before walking off. Nomad smiled softly seeing that and nodded “Good. I trust you to make him happy. He seems happy to be with you so I won’t stop him, but you be nice to my baby.” She warned and smiled at the head knight who nodded quickly, before bowing and walking off. Maxwell watched and chuckled a bit as he walked over. “Mother, why do you always try to intimidate our boyfriends and girlfriends? I appreciate you being so protective, but Ornstein is one of the most honorable people in the castle, I doubt he’d break Infernos heart.” Maxwell smiled softly, as Nomad just giggled softly and adjusted her dress some. “Because scaring them makes them remember who’s in charge, and who won’t hesitate to hurt them if they hurt my babies. I know he and Draco will treat Inferno and you well, but it’s still good yo remind them.” She said. Maxwell nodded and chuckled softly, out of both of his parents, Nomad was the scarier parent. “I’m glad you’re so protective mom.” He said and hugged her happily, Nomad nodding and hugging back, a bit teary eyed as her children were all growing up.
Nomad soon broke the hug and smiled warmly as she went to make sure everything was ready, heading back to the altar to make sure it was fully put together. As she walked out, she saw Draco looking at everything with Draga, both dragons surprised how quickly time flew, that it was now Draco’s wedding. “It’s hard to believe months ago, we were rallying to take down Alucard, and now you’re getting married. So much time has passed that it’s almost like a fantasy, like we never fought him. Although I still worry, I sensed something dark when we won and yet… nothing really showed up.” Draga said, looking at Draco as the green and black dragon nodded. “I know what you mean. It’s like we never went to battle, especially with how much demonic energy came from that fight, it’s like something out of a fictional novel.” Draco said. “As for your worry, I felt the same thing. The moment Bael shot Alucard through the head made it feel like something was wrong. His body just fell, and vanished. He gave us so much grief and just vanished. I do wonder if something did happen, like it was all part of some greater plan.” Draco said as he reflected on the months that passed, he traveled here with Marz, fought alongside them to take down Drazernon and now he’s getting married. Time flew so fast that it was a miracle he was keeping up. “But honestly, lingering in it now won’t do us any good. For now, let’s just focus on the wedding.”
Nomad didn’t confront them but nodded softly as she finished preparations, and before she knew it, everyone was gathering around in their seats, and Draco stood at the altar with Ornstein standing there dressed up nice behind it, he was performing the ceremony. The doors slowly swung open and Maxwell was with Drax, the man walking his son to the altar, nomad on the other side of him. Royal Elderitch tradition was always to have both parents walk, in order to hand their child off to their spouse. Draco watched as everyone turned to look, guards, Knights, family, they were all there, watching the oldest prince walk with his parents to get married. Everyone was emotional and some even Teared up watching, even Wesker and Silcia were sitting there watching this. Once at the altar, Nomad kissed her son’s cheek and Drax hugged him tightly, both parents holding back tears as they smiled proudly at their son as they went and took a seat. Ornstein smiled, and before everyone knew it, the ceremony began. “Thank you, Everyone, from Elderitch, sanctuary, and all around for coming to witness to marriage of Prince Maxwell, Jeremiah Adams-Grace, and Draco Aldruin. Before we begin, does anyone disagree that they should be married? If you feel such, speak now or forever be at peace.” And after a moment of silence, Ornstein nodded.
“Two warriors, strong and protective, loving and caring. Maxwell does all he can to make all his siblings happy, and does his best to protect them. Draco has a cold exterior but a heart made of gold. They’ve fought hard, and as one to bring peace to our wonderful kingdom, and end a tyranny unlike any others. And on this momentous day, we celebrate both their accomplishment, and their new marriage, as Maxwell Adams takes the hand of Draco, to love him forever, until death and beyond. Do you both promise to always be by one another, no matter the consequence?” Ornstein asked as they nodded, and he smiled as Marz presented them with two rings. “Than, with the rings carried by Prince Marz, the couple shall give them to one another, as a sign of their bond, and a sign of their love. Bringing together their souls as one, Maxwell taking Draco as his husband. On this day, Draco stops being just a general, and joins the ranks of the princes, as his marriage to the crown prince brings Draco into the life of the royals. Forever be at peace.” He said and everyone watched as they put the rings on, and every cheered. Draco and Maxwell hugged, holding one another close, happy as can be as tears streamed down their faces. This was a New chapter in their lives, with one another by their side.
