This piece is the capper for my art run, and man is it a monumental one. It took longer than any of the other pieces (and people wonder why I don't do comics...), it's got the funniest jokes, and it marks the return of two characters I hadn't used in a while. That's Kei Okane the panda on the left side of the first panel, and Camilla Aquino the coyote on the right. Camilla got a couple of design changes, mostly to her color scheme. I felt that an orange jumper was kind of redundant, so I switched her outfit to purple and yellow. I've also got a cactus on the front of her jumper, as it drives home the point that she's an animal from the southwest. Kei-O is wearing the official garb of the latest Doctor Who, played by Jodie Whitaker. She's pretty good in the role, by the way! I wasn't down with Peter Capaldi, who looks like he'd be better cast as "before" in an ad for prunes.

(Note that this will not be Kei's permanent wardrobe. I just thought it would be fun to dress her in this outfit, just this once.)

If you don't "get" this comic, let me help you out with that. Years ago, there was a series of television ads by Huggies, starring toddlers doing big jobs. You know, artist, singer, advertising executive, that sort of thing. Unfortunately, their productivity was thrown off track thanks to a leaky, ill-fitting diaper. The solution? Switch to Huggies, of course! Once fitted with the improved diaper, they could return to work with a new-found confidence. They were cute ads. Silly, but cute.

I figured Byron would be perfect for one of these ads. Not wearing a tie or holding a giant toy wrench, but just being himself, doing what he does best. Namely, annoying other babyfurs.
