In this chapter we see more of the softer side of Felicia. In creating this character, I was inspired by Rizzo, from 'Grease', who performs this number. Felicia comes off as hard, evil and conniving, frankly, a real bitch, but there is more to her than meets the eye. The child of an absent drug addicted mother, and an abusive alcoholic father, Felicia set one goal- to protect her twin sister. Felicia accepted abuse, if it meant sparing her sister. The reality is that Felicia is a scared and insecure kitty, but one who believes that if she ever shows weakness, she will be attacked. So, she lives the life she has learned, to do unto others, before other do unto YOU. Still, there is a part of her that longs for the mother she never knew. In showing kindness, Tina has touched Felicia in a way that no one ever has. But still, she is scared to trust, because she's learned that trusting others is a dangerous thing to do.
Will trust win out, or will Felicia withdraw into her old, evil ways?
Stay tuned.
I'd be remiss if I didn't say a heartfelt 'THANKS!' to all of Tina's friends out there. It's been a rough week, but things are looking up. We're well on our way to our third goal, having three Tina live stream Sundays a month, where you can go and watch the comic being created, and chat with Zenia and I if you wish.
Finally, I'd like to dedicate this comic to Sister, Felicia's inspiration, and my insight into all things Siamese. The world is a little darker since you've left, and you are missed more that you'll ever know.

I love the book the rabbit is reading.  LOL.  BTW, if the tears are any indication, Felicia is regretting her decision.

I'm not sure if 'regret' is the right word. Some things in life are just sad. There is no way around it. Like having to put down a beloved pet. You just wish things were different. I think that's where Felicia is. She wishes things were different. And...maybe they will be......eventually.

I'm going to go with, the tears are a result of just being totally overwhelmed by everything that just happened.

Watership Down. I read the book, read the second book, and saw the movie.

I never read "Watership Down"; I did see the animated movie from the 1970s(?), though.  You could be right about her being overwhelmed.  Between having an abusive father, being used by her former boyfriend, finding out she's pregnant, and having an abortion (which would go against her Catholic upbringing), it's a wonder she's held herself together at all.

It's a fascinating story.
But would hardly be called a "Children's movie" based on the violence.

I definitely agree with on the mature label of the movie.

"The Plague Dogs" is another interesting anthropomorphic read by the same author, followed up by an equally emotional movie, also not for kids!

I started liking her when she responded to Tina's believing in her and she responded positively.

i think that was when i started feeling for her. she showed she really wanted to work but didn't believe anyone would really give her a chance. even ray wasn't willing to give her time to learn the basics  because he was put on the spot of losing a good worker for a complete novice.

That's when we realized that there was more to Felicia than a one dimensional villainess.

Well, after the revelations when Ray lost his job, I came to the realization that Felicia was nothing more than a pawn in someone's scheme.

So she is like Rizzo?

Yes. She wants to be one of the popular kids, but she isn't. She likely had a 'reputation', you know, like the girl you DON'T take home to Mom. And growing up fast and on her own, she had to get tough fast, or at least have that appearance. Plus, she knew how to manipulate boys. She was voted the girl most likely to be carrying a fake ID, and didn't wear underwear to her senior picture.
