This picture has taken several more days to work on than I actually wish to admit. A special mode on the SEGA Mega Drive has been taken advantage of, called the Shadow/Highlight mode. Whilst it is intended as a limited form of transparency, for... y'know, Shadows and Highlights, it can also be used to generate colours that the Mega Drive cannot normally reproduce.
The end result is, for a picture such as this, a distinctive 'Amiga' style gradient shading. There is absolutely no doubt, in the hands of a more skilled artist, that some glorious things can be done in the realm of Shadow/Highlight artwork.
