Might be a little late, but yes, I used to get them every single day when I was a kid. I still have them as an adult, though much less often. I grew up in Phoenix, AZ so I imagine is was a mixture of very dry weather and the heavy cloud of pollution that hangs over the city. I am currently living in the Midwest US where the climate is much different and they have gone away almost completely since the move.
