This guy reminds me of Dinotopia. I like the neck frill collar. Good job with the wavy aspect of it. His long neck is pleasantly long. The horn on his head does not look too phallic. Purple and light blue are an unusual color pairing but they work well in contrast to the background orange-ish and black/white of his costume.
Does have a painterly style to it with the wood grain helping add texture.
