Inspired by some other artists, I’ve decided to give my characters some lore. However, seeing as this is my 3rd retcon, it’s possible it may not last.

In this universe, Nixie is actually part of a race of beings made from Pure Energy. They possess the ability to shapeshift into whatever they want, Nixie liking the unicorn the most. They Also have the ability to create small pocket dimensions and jump to different dimensions. They also have other abilities, though they aren’t immune to magic from outside sources.

Nixie had only one wish in life, to be a mother. Since motherhood for these energy beings wasn’t her idea of Motherhood, she looked in different dimensions. She soon found what would be her foster child.

Leon was an adult dragon who was almost suicidal depressed. His parents were gone and he was bored with his life. In his darkest hour, Nixie appeared and took him into her dimension. She regressed him into a baby with her strong powers and treated him like her own son. Leon gradually warmed up to her and accepted her as his new mommy.

Nixie enjoyed having a child so much, that she wanted another one. To be sure Leon would be comfortable with a new sibling, she created a perfect clone of him with the full extent of her powers. Unlike her, the clone (named Parker), wasn’t made of energy and was flesh and blood, just like his brother. And that is the unusual story of how this happy family came to be.
