Raphiah. My babies. Just normal dancing in the first, but the second is a fusion dance.

I’ll stop beating around the bush, my created species; Nukai, when they were originally conceived, they couldn’t fuse. But then I watched Steven Universe, and fell in love with the concept, so I integrated it into my species.

I know there will probably be a lot of people who have an issue with that, telling me that I’m ripping-off Steven Universe, but I don’t think that’s the case, I simply liked the concept and adopted it.

That happens a lot in writing, if every inspiration was a rip off of the original idea, then every single Vampire story is a rip-off of Dracula. Period.

Anyway, so, I love this picture sooooo much. I had actually battled with the idea of adding the glow, and making it a fusion dance in one of the versions, because I was afraid people were going to accuse me of ripping off Steven Universe. But then I decided I didn’t care. Steven Universe isn’t the only series to have fusion abilities, it just happened to be the one that inspired me.

The anatomy on Raph’s left hand is a little wonky but whatever, I’m happy with it nonetheless.
