Though yes, this character is named Cody, it is not the same Bear Cody. Cody the bear is me fursonafied, But this story is more human driven with furs making appearances. And yes, this takes place in the same canon as the "Chance Meets" That I'm doing, but it does not have sex. If you want to learn more about the canon, be warned that Chance meets involves cub porn, however this story will not have sex in any way. It may have romance, but that will be between of age characters, or at least characters older than sixteen, not cubs. How far I will get into the series, I dunno. In a way, this is a "Mary Sue" Of Mary Sue's. Keep reading to see what I mean. I should mention this is horrible, and may be rewritten, as I am extremely tired as I write this.

God Complex

Frail Dimensions.

Part I

If you had told me that a few hours ago I would be talking to a hot anime like chick, I would have laughed and told you there was no way.

Then if you told me I would meet this woman right before beating up a giant robot-

I Have to stop right there, this sounds way to freaking cheesy. I guess I'll just shut up and tell you my story.

Well, obviously if I'm going to tell you my story, I can't shut up. What I meant was that I'll stop trying to make a beginning, uh, thing, to make you want to hear my story, and just get to it.

You still there? Doubt it.

*******************************************************

When I was little, one of my friends parents died. It was really sad, and he was always crying. We went to the funeral and I stayed right beside him the whole time. He cried all through it. I didn't know how to make him feel better, but after it was all over I was really tired.

I woke up to my phone ringing, and when I answered, it was my friend, asking if I wanted to pass the football for a bit. He sounded okay, so I said sure.

While we were playing, I asked him how his dad was doing. And he said fine, and asked me why I asked. I said he must feel awful that his wife died, and my friend shook his head, asking where I heard that his mom died.

I was a little shaken, so I asked to go to his house to play video games. He said okay, so we went. I made sure to look, and sure enough, his mom was still alive.

I was shocked. I figured I must have dreamed the whole thing up, which is weird, since it felt like a whole week had gone by.

I never gave it another thought.

****************************************************************************

My name is Cody. I am overweight. I enjoy swimming, video games, reading, football, cooking, working out.

Most people, when you say you like video games, ask what kind. And really, anything except shooters. I like rpgs, everything from kingdom hearts, Pokemon, Persona. I mean, I will play any game really, but RPGs and things with zombies get my attention the easiest.

But that isn't important right now. What is is that I was walking home from school, the wind blowing, and since it was October, it was cold. But, I really didn't care. I just tightened my jacket and walked.

That was when I saw previously mentioned anime chick. Her hair was black, and in a ponytail, kind of reminded me of Claire's from Resident Evil. She looked to me, with those large, glittery eyes, and scowled. It made me swallow. Something about her was, well, unsettling. You know, beside the whole "Straight out of a manga" Look she had going.

She turned, and I knew I had to options. I could walk away, and pretend I never saw her, and go on with my life, or follow her, and get a restraining order.

Well, I figured you only live once, so I adjusted my back pack and started to stalk her. At first, I thought she was just walking. I don't live in the city, but my school is, so every day I walk a few miles home. It keeps me in shape, and I get to swing by the arcade or game store or movie theater, so I'm cool with it. But following her, I realized that if she didn't know I was there, then she had a weird hobby.

It was a slow realization, the more we walked the less people I saw. It was a few minutes before we reached the harbor, and she walked into a old, large, industry building. I think they made boats or something, but I wasn't sure. When I entered, I didn't see her anywhere, the place looked bad on the outside, but I was amazed at the inside.

There were tables, like those in old jazz clubs each one had a white table cloth and a lamp, with two chairs on opposite sides on each table. And there was a stage, a small one, with a piano and a harp and those podiums big bands stood at. You know? Like In Blood the Last vampire at the Halloween dance? By the way it's almost halloween. I need to go to the store and get some popcorn balls. Those and Pumpkin pie mean fall to me. By the way they have this pumpkin pie shake at Sonic that is really good I need to-

"So I was right, you can see me." She said, I turned around and blushed. Earlier she had been wearing a tight black shirt and green sweat pants, now she was wearing a stunning black dress, something a singer would wear. This place was giving me the creeps. Imagine it, the outside had been so torn up. Roofing had been missing, but it looked so class inside. Nothing was out of place.

"What do you mean 'I can see you'?" I asked, setting my backpack down. She walked down these golden stairs, just looking at me, her hair had changed to, it was up in a bun, and I began to realize that she may have been Asian... Besides the whole anime thing. Her high heels made a clacking noise with each step, before she sat at a table.

"I made myself invisible to everyone else, and only those with GC could see me." She pointed to the chair opposite of her and I sat, smiling. "Okay... I don't believe you, and I'm pretty sure I probably got hit in the head and this is all a dream, but I'll bite. What's GC?" I look down, and there was drink there. I took it and sipped. Root Beer, my favorite.

I know I'm not explaining this well, but I'm not a natural born writer. Things I see I don't over analyze most of the time. I can't explain how the glass was cold to the touch, my fingers leaving small prints due to the condensation of the glass using a full paragraph, but I can tell you it was root beer in the drink. If you want THAT much detail, go read Grapes Of Wrath. Have fun reading four pages about a turtle crossing the road that is drenched with symbolism.

"GC stands for God Complex. Alot of people are born with it, but few people have it like we do." She explained, sipping her own drink in a champagne glass. This is the part where I should gasp and be like "Oh shit, shit just got real!" But I was still not buying this.

"What is God Complex?" I asked, looking at her. Really, I just remember being tired through this part. I was somewhat popular. So my day consisted of working out, after school nap, dinner, friends ten twelve at night, then bed. and weekends were tough, at least for me. Then again, I was at that age where everything seems to be overly difficult. Technically, this was my nap time, and I was having a hard time keeping my eyes open.

"Imagine being able to make anything come from anywhere. Able to change time, and the laws of physics, to wish for something, and it happens. That is God Complex. I felt it in you, the same way it is in me, and my friends. You don't believe me, do you?"  She said, leaning close to me, and I had to blush. She looked nice, and I could see her cleavage.

"Proof or you are insane and I'm leaving."

"Who brought you that glass?" She said pointing. "How could this place look so awful on the outside, yet on the inside it looks like this? How could I have changed so fast, and for that matter how could I look the way I do? You can't have surgery to have my eyes." She says, sipping her drink. "Have you ever gone through a whole day, from that morning to going to sleep, and your parent or alarm clock woke you up to go to school, and you realize everything you had just experienced was a dream? A WHOLE day gone by, you went to school, went home, did everything, and it was all just a dream? That is because someone used their God Complex to restart the day. A lot of people experience this, but that is because they have God Complex.

"A large percentage of people have it, but think of it like the chicken pox, once it happens, it's gone. Almost everyone on earth can alter the universe in some way using their GC, however once they use it, it's gone from them. God complex it what puts every human in the world in the same boat. It connects you to everything and nothing-"

"How can you be connected to nothing?" I Ask, rubbing my forehead. I blinked. A hat? I hadn't been wearing one... I took it off and frowned.

It was a Fedora. I was wearing a Fedora, and a suit. Call me crazy, but I was starting to think she was onto something.

"Nothing, in a sense of things that do not exist and never will. Things that will never be created in this universe can be created. Imagine something silly, like a ice-cream monster with gummy bear teeth and cherries for eyes. No scientist could ever make such a thing, but we can make that with just a thought. People with GC can pull one of those everything or nothings and make it appear, they can summon whatever they like, and in exchange, they loose their GC. We, however, are different."

She stands, and points to the piano, and it starts to play itself. It was good. I wish I was big on music, because I really wanted to know what it was.

You have probably stopped reading, and to be honest, I wouldn't blame you. I suck at writing and there are SOOOOOO many questions, so I began to ask them.

"If this is real, why aren't things like giant robots attacking the city, and, and starvation not existing."

"Because, things created by GC are woven into the fabric of existence. Only people like you and me can tell that they were not part of life already, and there are even more people who will know than an event that happened is sudden and isn't part of daily life, but by the time they go to sleep and wake up, things will be as they once were. To put it simply, imagine someone made Superman real. Most people would immediately believe he has always been here, then there would be a group that knew he isn't real, and that he just poped out of thin air, but when they fall asleep, their mind absorbs the information as fact and, when they wake up the next morning or whatever, they themselves will believe it to have always been. Then there are people like you and me, who will always know it isn't true, and that it wasn't always like that.

"And as for starvation. God Complex is just that, a complex, or rather a small power of God. We are created in his image and, because of this, we all channel some of his power, some more than others. However, he is still an existing being, and plays somewhat passive role on the dimension. If GC is used to create something that will in the end bring about genocide or the apocalypse, then it will become a separate dimension.

"Imagine it like this, a boy uses his god complex to end world hunger. He is broken into two being, one remains in this dimension, and the other goes to the other. The one that created the new dimension becomes aware that he created it, and that anything that happens in this new dimension is, in fact, his fault. Now, the boy in our dimension doesn't get to live out his wish and loses his GC, however he does get to live in this world, and not suffer the consequences of his wish.

"The other him is cast into what is called a "frail dimension" A dimension that is doomed, where all humanity will eventually die, or there will only be few pockets of life. So, world hunger is solved, people began to overpopulate, and wars break out for territory. One country goes crazy and uses nuclear war, destroys the planet. The boy watches as his harmless wish becomes a monstrosity. When that world reaches the apoc, it is called a "Failed dimension" Instead of a frail dimension.

"Imagine time not as a rope, but as a block, or something. We can see from the very moment it is created how it will end. This is one of the three original dimensions, with each dimensions people having GC. There are millions of dimensions, that are failed, frail, and some that are active and doing okay, and will forever. They are watched over by people with God stones, and they report to God directly.

"So, lemme put it like this. We are like the Police of this original dimension, we keep this world okay from things deemed impossible. Things like "Ending world hunger" Can cause frail dimensions, and things like "I want zombies to exist" Can also cause frail dimensions, but sometimes there are imbetweens, things that stay in this universe, in this dimension, that do not get transported to a failed dimension, and instead could cause our universe danger, let's say a giant robot. Just because someone creates it to do evil, it may not go to the other dimension. We have to kill it, to stop it from destroying our dimension, so we can continue to live."

I nod. This was ALOT to take in. You have to remember, this is REAL LIFE! This is the plot for a book, or a TV show, or something. Not regular every day life. "So, your job is to beat it out of existence. Now, how come I don't have a dream where I am awake and stuff every day?"

"I assume you mean repeat day dreams, or RDD, as we call it. Those dreams where you wake up, go through a full day, then wake up to realize that that had all been a dream. You can think the real God for that one.

"Imagine having to relive a day not once, but possibly a hundred times? To us, that would make us feel like we have lived forever, which sucks. Imagine spending three years in a day, and at the end of it you are only a day older? That is what is would be like, with how people use GC. God has made it so people are only able to have RDD if it is in some way effecting you. For instance, if a kid you never met wishes his father wouldn't leave his mother, and that kid lived in a country you have never visited, and you don't know the kid, then you will not feel it. However, if. let's say, this was happening to your class mate, then you would.

"And that is something that I need to tell you. People like you and me, who can used GC with reckless abandon, we can do whatever we wish with it. However, the more we stay around people, the stronger they become with GC. We are all connected through a social link-

"Like Persona 3!" I say smiling, glad I'm understanding this.

"Uh... yeah... The stronger our social link is with someone, or the more theirs is with ares, the higher chance they are to become, well, I'll explain that later. Because we have a test."

"A test?"" I sip my drink. I shiver as I feel something changing, and I realize I am in different clothes. "These look like the clothes from Bleach. What are they called again?" I ask, looking at them. "Now, we gotta test your abilities." She smiles and sips her drink. "You need to show me how to use GC. My comrades believe in slow learning, you know, showing you how to form a weapon, things like that. But it's simple imagination. Just think it will come and it will. Also, you can't just use your GC to WISH something out of existence, so don't try."

I stand there waiting. I didn't know what was going to happen, but I felt a large shiver all over. I wasn't cold, it was like my bones were shaking.

A large, robotic hand burst through the ceiling, reaching for me. Remember I told you I would be fighting a giant robot, this was it.

What would you do? Learning that you had some powers of God, that you were special, and that something wanted to kill you? For me, it was simple.

Run like hell.

I fell to the ground as it's hand barely missed, a finger swatting a chair and sending it flying. I ran on all fours till I saw the door, opening it and standing, trying to run.

I didn't turn around. Instead I kept running, hearing the large clattering of metal as it began to turn to me, watching me. did she make this? I kept running, passing people, but they all stood still, none of them blinking.

That was when I discovered my first rule.

When something like this happens, people, things, and time itself freezes. As the reality like something like this doesn't exist begins to blend with ours, time stops. Only people like me notice it.

"This can't be happening." I huffed aloud. "It isn't real!"

"Your mind is trying to push it away, force it to not exist. However, that is going against someones elses god complex. You can't do that. The only way to kill it is if YOU kill it. You can use a weapon CREATED by your GC to kill it, but you can't just wish it away."

I had to come to the truth. Everything she had said was true. GC had to exist, and I couldn't use it to push this thing out of existence. I had to fight it. I literally had to push it out of existence.

"Imagine something, anything you think will help." She said smiling.

I immediately thought of something that was already on my mind.

And a gun, an evoker to be exact, appeared, in a holster, strapped to my leg. I pulled for it, pulled it to my head, and pulled the trigger.

It was real. It was real, and just as I imagined, it was happening. I didn't die, instead, it was like blue shards of glass came from my head. "PERSONA!!!!!" I cried, turning around, looking to the monster.

It wasn't like the game though. This was anything I wanted to create...

And there, to my derpiness, stood Rainbow Dash.

"What? A freaking PONY! NONONONONONO! I'm going to die..."

"Hey! It's not my fault you suck at this." The rainbow maned pony said, looking at the robot.

I exhaled, trying to think of something else. "Okay, Pokemon." I closed my eyes, my body getting the shivers again, and I felt something in my hand. it was about the size of a marble, a little bigger maybe and I looked at it.

A pokeball. A pokeball with a lightning bolt on it. "I was hoping for Charizard but this could work... PIKACHU, GO!" I cried out, the ball enlarging to the size of an orange before I threw it. Pikachu appeared from his ball, electricity crackling from his cheeks.

It sounds stupid. It sounds dumb, but imagine having the power to create that out of then air? I should have been scared for my life, but I was ecstatic. "Oookay... Uhm... Rainbow Dash, can you do a Sonic Rainboom, and fly right through his center, Right after Pikachu uses Iron tail to cut off one of the legs?" I Close my eyes and exhale, the shivers and a large sword appeared. It was a claymore, large, broad, took two hands to wield, but, since this was my creation, I made it light enough to wield with one. This was my world, my creations.

I had a God Complex.

"And I'll cut the other leg." I said smiling. "We do this, it should fall over. It's shaped like an egg, and I don't think it will be able to keep itself up if we do that." I said smiling.

"I can, but, I'm gonna need some space to get fast enough to do it." She said, and I nod, as she goes flying off.

"Oooh, smart kid." I hear the anime girl say. I'll have to catch her name.

"Raddy Pikachu? Wait, hold on." I close my eyes again and smile. Imagine having all the possibilities! But there was only one thing I really wanted right now.

Travis Touchdown's motorcycle Schleptiger. I had a thing for large motor cycles, and that baby took the the cake. This time, I kept my eyes open. I wanted to see this.

It was kind of anti Climactic, it just appeared out of thin air. I imagine that is what everything did. I put my claymore on my back (I later named it Alumni, as it has green and gold ribbon on it that almost reach the floor. Not really ribbon, but like I said, I'm not good on explaining things)

Pikachu hoped on the hood of Schleptiger and I sat on in the seat. "I'm going to drive you beside the first leg, and you will cut it off, then I'll use the nitro on the bike to get to the other leg and cut it off."

"Pikachu!" He cried out, making me smile. This was scary as hell and fun as hell all at the same time. I grinned and started the bike. I only hoped Rainbow Dash didn't become Rainbow Crash.

I started to drive. I had a motorcycle once before, so I knew how to drive. I lost it in a accident, which sucks, but I think my new bike was much, much better.

When we got closer, I knew our plan wasn't going to work. Each leg was as wide as a house, and I knew my sword wasn't ling enough. "Okay Pikachu, new plan, after you cut the leg using Iron Tail, turn around, and use a Volt Tackle. We are getting Super Smash Bros. up in here." I bit my lip, hoping it would work.

Writing this, I feel stupid. Because it IS stupid. There are a thousand other things I could have done, but to me, this was awesome. This was Amazing. You are rolling your eyes at the sheer stupidity, but if you had been there, if you had done what I did, you would be just like me right now, ecstatic!

The Schleptiger, for those that have never played No More Heroes, is long, defensive, and fast. I was hurtling through the road, the cars, the people, everything was dodged and swerved as I drove. they were still frozen, which was a good thing. "GET READDY!" I cried, hoping Pikachu heard me over the engine as he jumped off.

"Pi... Ka... CHU!!!!" He cried out, moving his lower torso, his tail seemed to grow larger and turned shiny (If you watched the anime you would know what I'm talking about) right before it hit the large leg of the egg shaped robot. It cut clean through, but still it only cut off about half.

I wanted to keep watching, but I had to drive. I lifted my sword and closed my eyes. My sword needed to be longer. Already it was the size of my body, but It had to be longer, sharper, it needed to cut though with one swipe. I opened my eyes, and sure enough, it was a beast, well over twenty feet long. I knew I could cut through the robots leg. Just then I heard my Pikachu yell "PIKA!" and I knew that he was performing a volt tackle. We would be taking this thing out at the same time.

When my sword hit the metal, givin the speed of my bike, It cut clean trough, Pikachu doing the same on the other leg. Together, both it's feet were gone. I looked up, and there was Rainbow Dash in all her glory, speeding through the sky, the air seemed to make a shield around her, turning almost into a drill as she speed, a loud BANG as she sped faster, a rainbow behind her. "Sonic... DRILL!" She cried out, making her own attack as she sped through the robots chest, leaving a large, cratering hole in it, and a loud ringing in my ears. The creature shook, then, it just faded away. I wish I could tell you there was an explosion,or it fell and destroyed buildings, but it didn't it just disappeared.

"Aww, all that and It didn't even crash into something!?" Ranbow said, Pikachu on her back before he jumped into my lap, and I pet his belly. "Naw, but thanks Rainbow. Thank you so much for the help."

"Sure, no problem. Just call me again if you need me." She said, fading away. She wasn't dead, mind you, more like she was just going back inside my head.

"Congrats. But, I'm going to tell you right now. Summoning living things is harder than just making cars or motorcycles." The anime chick said, sitting on Schleptiger. "People who can only use GC once Can make anything happen, but for us who can use it repeatedly, it gets drained, and we have to wait for it to fill up again. Kinda like the magic meter on a video game." She smiles and gets off the bike, clouds poping from thin air. Nimbus, from Dragon Ball. "My name, is Margarete." She says smiling to me. I like that name, it's Greek for Pearl.

"Mines Cody... Can I keep these two? I always wanted a pet, and I needed a new bike... soo..."

She smiled, she was back to her old clothes. "Just don't let to many people see Pikachu, and people have custom bikes made all the time." She said, looking us over. "Come back here tomorrow, kay?" She said, flying off.

I revved the bike and smiled. Time had returned. People were walking around, Everything was okay. I hid Pikachu on my ride home.

I told my parents. They didn't believe me till I showed them my Bike, and Pikachu, and made my mom a gold necklace. I don't really want to get into that though, that could be a whole story in itself.

If you read this, and have questions, don't worry, I did too. The bad thing about writing in stories is, you leave stuff for later. But, that was the first day. Some questions were answered later.

But she wasn't lieing, I was dog tired, and there was a weird emptiness in me, and I knew it was from all the things I did today.

I wish I could tell you I stayed awake, to think about all the things that had just happened, but to be honest, once I fed and watered Pikachu, parked Schleptiger into the garage, and got to my room, I fell asleep, without taking off my clothes, or even doing my homework.
