Another German-themed WW2 commission! Believe it or not, this is a ceremonial uniform for the Army, not for the Navy, as one might first think. Classy isn't it? Hugo Boss certainly knew his stuff. This was a pretty important piece for me since it was basically practice for a course I was taking, focusing on color. It's pretty much overhauled the way I work and it's more in line with how those big shots doing concepts at Pixar think about lighting a scene. Hope you like it! Let me know what you think below ^^!

If it's for the Heer (Army) why does his hat have the Schutzstaffel (SS) Totenkopf and not the Heer wreath and cockade? Also, Hugo Boss didn't design for the regular German military, only the SS. As far as I'm aware, the basic designs for the regular Wehrmacht uniforms were already set on stone back during the Weimar era; the Nazis just added their symbols to them. At any rate, this is a gorgeous picture of the Heer's very sadly seldom-seen white summer dress uniform, inaccurate hat insignia aside. There's a photo of Erwin Rommel in one with his wife Lucie floating around somewhere.

Also, it seems you used Frederick Zoller's uniform from the theater scene Inglourious Basterds as a reference. I can't find an example of the Heer's white dress uniform with those collar and cuff decorations outside of that movie. But I could be wrong. As noted, pictures of their white summer dress are hard to come by.
That said, if you did use Zoller's outfit as a reference, I feel like I ought to point out that some quick research I did suggests that what Zoller wears in the movie is a fictional one-off white dress version of a uniform that was unique to the Grossdeutschland Division, and never widely adopted by the Heer due to the bigwigs at OKW turning their noses up at it.
