Much like the recent picture of the Adlerian Commoner, I felt like drawing an Anubian Commoner picture, or a commoner that would exist in a kingdom ruled by, or related in some way, by the Egyptian God Anubis.
In the Anubian Kingdom, the land is full of Anubians or offspring of Lord Anubis. It is from this recently made up kingdom that D. Dan's teacher, professor and mentor Jacques El Noble was born and lived many years ago.
This picture essentially shows a commoner sporting some traditional clothing that, though traditional looking, is modern in that it is machine made and uses modern materials.
The shirt is not a fishnet style shirt. Since I drew this straight with pen, and drew it relatively quickly, I did not draw each area as intended. What was inteded is that the shirt be padded with clothed scales. It is also meant to have a sheen to it from being layered with that plastic stuff one finds on printed t-shirts, only covering the whole thing.
The skirt is made of traditional Egyptian cotten. The middle part is made of mainly cotton that is covered in a layer of silk. The head gear is also covered in silk in the same way, only it does not have as much sheen as the other thing. The belt is made of simple leather.
A nice traditional styled set of clothing, using modern materials and methods.
This commoner is in casualy shopping at the local bazaar. I imagine him looking through a window wondering whether to get the new I-Pad or not. LOL. ^\/^.
