At one point I didn’t like plain coffee. It seemed too thick, too bitter to enjoy. Being a person who tries so hard to see the sweet and spice in life, it can be hard to remind yourself about the times that were not so nice or exciting.
You can get bitter just thinking about it.
I remember a game telling a player about how doing a routine over and over will at some point erode your ability to be annoyed by it. Repetition can break boredom, hiding the fact that the work is just a job. For some people, that’s how training and conditioning works. You could work for so long that you forget the whole the reason you wanted to leave in the first place.
That’s how coffee gets you. Drink as much as your body can take, then drink more as you began to forget the strong lasting flavor.
You don’t have to let a job warp and erode your mind, your time, and your being though. You do need to be willing to save yourself however by enduring the bitter times. It helps to have something to do on the way to and from a job, even if it is just hard earned sleep.
Don’t let your feelings towards work break your sally and twist you bitter like a coffee bean. That’s not a good way to drink coffee. Get your bearings and focus!
Also, this round is on me. Work for your means, for your reasons.
