"And if you call me 'Bruce' one more time... I WILL smash you! ... you friggin' turds..."

I'm sorry. X3

No I'm not. XD

Damnit but I want that god damn Sideshow collectibles "Gamorrean Executioner" statue. But holy fuck, it's around 2000 buckaroonies on eBay. BUT I WANT IT SO BADLY. Waaah! See, this is why we can't just HAVE nice things. Everyone's a fuckin' turd. D8 ... By which of course, I don't mean the people selling the statues, rather the whole "limited edition" thing that permeates everything. Blegch. It's just a cheap money grab... or rather, an expensive one. I mean, isn't that the problem? In order for the items to sell, they must be at a price people are willing to pay, but in order to make the money for producing them back the price has to be above a certain threshold? The cheaper you sell it for, the more items you have to produce to just make back the money, and everytime it's done is explicitly to make a profit... or to put it another way, the more you make, the lower you can set the price in order to encourage people to buy the item, so then more of the item will sell, therefore returning way more monetary profit than a limited edition run of 750? I mean... if you sold something for a single dollar to every human on the planet, that's 7.5 billion dollars right there. An item that is several thousand dollars will only sell to those willing to spend the money; or, to put it another way, not every Star Wars fan is going to spend the money, because they consider the expense to be ridiculous. Hell, look at Battlefront 2; the amount of people who MIGHT have bought the game but will now NEVER buy the game because of how the game, franchise AND fans and customers were patronized by EA, is staggering.

OH AND SPEAKING OF BATTLEFRONT 2 AND EA!!!

No, seriously... I found some article the other day about their license to make Star Wars games... and it's apparently for 10 years? But this was back in 2013... sooooo... has anyone else noticed how the only two Star Wars titles they've made in the last five years were Battlefront 1 and 2...? Is this a trend? If they follow their current trajectory, it isn't unreasonable to predict that by the end of their license we shall see both Battlefront 3 and 4.

Which leads me to another interesting observation, about how Visceral's shutdown went down... and their game was deemed TOO linear and story driven, right?

... According to the announcement, EA "will develop and publish new Star Wars titles for a core gaming audience, spanning all interactive platforms and the most popular game genres, while Disney will retain certain rights to develop new titles within the mobile, social, tablet and online game categories."...

The phrase that stands out to me is "core gaming audience"... so, the question would be, what core gaming audience does the Battlefront series attract? It does have an almost exclusive multiplayer angle... so what if? What if a different studio, that didn't like to plaster it's name all over everything and proclaim quite so loudly and proudly as EA, did actually get a similar deal with Disney, and a license to make a specific type of game, for a different core gaming audience...?

Yes, I'm strongly hinting at the ludicrous possibility of "Starfield" being something like that. Lol. XD

No, before you say anything, I don't believe that is the case at all. It's just like how I considered "Starfield" could be something to do with The Elder Scrolls on the sole grounds of Skyrim's skill point system using a constellation-like tree, in addition to previous games using star-signs for things as well.

I will say that I will of course be thoroughly disappointed if Starfield is anything less than the missing space-piece in Bethesda's wheel-house of open-world RPG's... a holy trinity almost... but I'm sure it'll still be fun, whatever it turns out to be... well... yeah, I guess even if it turns out to be another Elder Scrolls or Fallout it'll still be good. The silver lining, of course, is that by now Bethesda MUST know how god damn badly people want, no NEED, a space-themed RPG... because we sure as fuck aren't getting a Star Wars one from EA, now are we. =\
