... so I have literally not drawn anything in 2 weeks? Harrumph. At least the latest week I've been having to chase the new kitten around so she doesn't get into too much trouble, lol, so I guess that's a valid excuse.
Had a lot of Star Wars on my mind lately. Somehow also thinking about that "perfect game" I'd like to make, I began to consider the complications of playing as some weird alien monster... like a Hutt!
So, it turns out Anakin is of the Hutt mentality; slithering around on coarse sand as a giant fat whale of a space slug would suck. So bad. Uuugh. The horror. D8
But an interesting thought; what if you played a Hutt? How would that work? How is that balanced with everything else? Like all those other aliens with perfectly normal humanoid arms and legs? Like... Jabba's Gamorrean guards? They are, canonically, incredibly dumb. So, in RPG terms they would have a horrendously low "intelligence" score, right? Just as a Hutt might have really bad agility or dexterity, to account for the slow movement speed... while at the same time as being a large target, they may also be able to absorb more damage with their layers upon layers of blubber, perhaps? And traditionally all the large, slow moving characters in fightign games and the like tend to hit REALLY hard... so...
All I can think of is how horrifying it would be to have a giant space slug like Jabba suddenly lunge at you if you got too close. Holy fuck. Forget the sarlaac pit! Hutts can move! O_o ... like sloths... which also have rather long claws, right? Hutts have a giant mouth... like Kirby... sooooo... yikes! Like Gimli the dwarf, they're good over short distances, right? They'll literally swallow you whole! D8
