Another art prompt pic, I am pleased with this one, I worked hard on it. I hope it shows.
Wait, why does it look like there are "halos" around my lines? Like my colors don't go all the way to the lines? It shows up a lot in the winter and spring sections, like on thier hair and clothes. Stupid scanner!

Having encountered similar "halos" on my own paltrier attempts at colored pencils years ago, I think they're because the colored pencils aren't getting their colors fully into the grooves pressed into the paper when you were drawing the lines.  The pencils just aren't pointy enough to fit.  So, the scanner is probably innocent this time.

I bet that's it, I am notorious for being heavy handed with the microns and not keeping my pencils sharp! It's weird that it doesn't look this way in my  hands though. And only here on Inkbunny, it still looks ok on Weasyl, and DeviantArt and Furaffinity. I will try to clean up my techniques, I appreciate the time you took to write this for me, I thank you so much!

Just be glad you're either light with your pencil underdrawing or don't need one.  It's a pain struggling with a groove that leaves a white line through the picture because the line was erased instead of inked. :(

They're probably there on the original as well.  You just don't notice them as well as you do on Inkbunny because it's still fresh enough that your mind is filling in the blanks.  When you can look at it cold, you might see them better.  (Of course, that's just my hypothesis.  For all I know, Inkbunny has little impbunnies in the coding who love messing with pictures. :o )

Heh, I wish I could ink like that with no underdrawing, and I have indeed been frustrated by recessed lines in my paper, also I have cats so yeah, they like to walk on my art pieces and leave claw marks on there as well.
I have not gone back to look at the original of this particular drawing, but ever since you mentioned it, I have been noticing the halos on my newer pieces. I really need to draw with a lighter touch! Or use harder paper.
Anyway I just wanted to say thank you, you took a good amount of time to respond to my artwork and comment, and I do appreciate it!
