Rainy Days and Mondays

Somewhere Out There (Duet)
rainy_days_and_mondays.mp3
So lately my grandmother has been having a hard time, getting older and all that. She and I have never been close but her decline has taken me a bit by surprise. This morning I went to go visit her before work and she was disheveled, disoriented and it really hit me hard. I probably shouldn't have tried to sing a song or record one right after/during crying but I guess it's okay since this one fit how I was feeling.....

I had little to no breath control and some of my vocals are bordering but hopefully it isn't too bad a cover. I would suggest turning this one down a bit, was a rather loud recording XD

It's really tough to see a family member age.  However, this sounds pretty good!

It really is, I guess it's just something that crept up on me.  I'm glad the song sounded good though ^^

You have a lovely voice. Shaky breath fits the song's mood well, for what that's worth.

You did a great job, your voice has it's usual, unique, easy listening quality. I love the background vocals and the saxophone solo. you look so cute zoned out and enjoying yourself. Another great cover:)

Your voice is really not bad at all, and I listen to tons of amateur covers on youtube.

My only advice is spend all the time with her you can and don't worry about the past or whether she'll remember. There are few worse feelings in the world than someone suddenly passing and wishing you'd talked to them more. That is happening a shitton right now, and that part I wouldn't be able to help you with because I have no idea how to deal with it yet.

I'm glad that it wasn't too bad ^^

I'm spending all the time I can with her, cooking, helping her around the house with odd jobs and such and listening to her tell about her past. I drink it all in and enjoy it...sometimes it's hard but I'm just glad that she's still around for as long as she can be and that I have the chance to get to know her.
