Lately I've decided I wanted to pic up the proverbial pencil, and maybe try to learn to draw since my writing doesn't seem to get very far. I doubt I'll stop writing, since I have a pretty large project in my head I really want to get out there.
So, I figured, why not? And then promptly cried a little at my first few floundering attempts. I imagine a lot more of those types of days are going to come. That's when I turned to
, an artist I always turn to for a lot of things and not just help with art. And he along side my wife have been tutoring me and putting up with my BS so that I can actually work up something that actually LOOKS like a head... with details... ears and a nose.
These aren't my first attempts but they won't be my last, I feel myself getting better, but I'm also already starting to feel that artist envy many seem to go through. Honestly artist may seem easy, but when you start it's a battle of frustration vs your own expectations.
These are my best 6 attempts so far, and I rearlise there are still mistakes, but I was told, that is to be expected and normal. No one draws perfectly, not even the experts.
The characters are all from my CKoM story and webcomic: 1- Gias, the elder Creator. 2- Mahkah, her partner. 3- Vivian, their attendtant. 4- Adrian in his aduly years, Gias and Mahkah's son. 5- Sanjuro, one of Adrian's friends. 6- Simon, friend to both Adrian and Sanjuro.
