I finally made this, took me way too long because university. I tried to give it a more dream like appearance so tell me if I succeeded, I think I didn't, at least not in the way I would have liked.

Anyways, while making this picture, some revelations came to me. In your story you didn't mentioned the eggs collectables, which makes sense considering the basis of the out of season birth of Spyro, but if you plan to make the third game into a story as well that cannot be overlooked since is the foundation of the story, which means breeding season happened before the third game, and as far as I know, there are only 2 known dragonesses in the Spyro universe, Ember (I can't take her seriously) and Cynder.

Now, also as far as I know, up to A hero's tail, it can be considered the same storyline, yet there are some aspects in the story that I don't remember being in this storyline, mainly the ability of dragons to have more than one type of magic, and while Spyro does indeed gets different breath abilities first in Enter the dragonfly, it was because of Bianca's spell, it wasn't natural for Spyro and neither for other dragons, that happenend in The legend of Spyro reboot, so I think there is some overlapping already happening.

Now, back to the eggs and breeding season, even when Cynder can be considered to be in another timeline, dimension, or part of some reborn theory, I think we already have some overlapping in the continuities, which raises the question if we'll ever see Cynder in this stories of yours. It would be interesting as a in between story all by itself.

Also, this is an economic revelation, if Spyro only kept Gnasty's loot in his treasure chamber, then he has at least 1,050 treasure, also, after defeating Ripto, Spyro is gifted all the treasure he found, which is 10,000 treasure, which means, he himself would have almost as much treasure as the entire dragon world.

Finally (because this is already too long), not a revelation, I love how we already have an explanation for the Forgotten realms in Spyro 3, that crested explanation it just works, no need for complex stuff that needs more complex stuff, it just works, bravo.

Very cute art ^^ And ye, i can see it being a bit dreamlike based on the colors and stuff.

And to give some information.
The breeding season happens during the second story and while there is only 2 canon females i see no reason why i can not just invent a load of adult females instead, i mean it would be odd if there was none in the world. As for Ember and Cynder... Not yet decided if i can put them in here somewhere or not.

I am using a combination of different magical ideas that have shown up in all spyro games, even ones i do not like, and then expanding it with my own magical systems and ideas on top. This to create a much more rich and detailed magic system that can be constantly used without it being a "cure all" or "useless"

I did state this in the story but in my version Spyro had to give all the gems back to the Dragons as they are the owners however he kept a small chuck as a reward and all of Gnasty's personal treasures. This makes Spyro have over 15% of all the money in the world and thus extremely rich. Quite fitting for a hero hehe.

Lastly thank you for the compliment to do with the Crested. The games, the story, the lore, the magic, they all have holes or are too simple in places so i am basically making my own Spyro universe here but one that is directly tied to the stories Spyro 1, 2, 3 and heros tail.

As for one bit i am surprised you never mentioned. Sparks the dragonfly did not show up because he complicates everything and is just a HP bar to be fair however he does have a cameo in a way much much later on in a reference i hope people love or at least understand.

First of all, sorry for not answering before, I don't come here very often and honestly, don't expect anyone to comment.

Anyways, obviously you are not limited to only Ember and Cynder for females, you can create as many as you want, but not developing at least one (even OC) would feel like a wasted opportunity for interactions and character development if the breeding season is indeed part of the story, a way out would be have it happening but not actively interacting with spyro, that can work but is extremely dangerous from a narrative perspective (in my opinion) because it's very easy to make it feel like a easy way out.

Creating your own Spyro universe is great, let's you work freely and as you see fit around what we know or choosing something doesn't work and removing it, I love it's still directly tied to the original stories and Hero's tail and uses it as building blocks to develop from that.

Now, I did notice Sparks absence in the story, but didn't mention it because the description was getting too long and the simple explanation was that he doesn't add anything to the story. Another little detail I'm expecting to see later on is the oddly specific detail of the magic purple pool in Dreamweavers; it's one sentence yet very interesting declaration. Also Moneybags, is he part of the story or is he inexistent? I'll have to wait for that answer.

There's a lot that can be discussed, yet I feel the best thing to do right now is wait for a new story and the discover the answers as story progresses. Anyways, wish you a good day and greetings from México.
